I don't know. I mean, I agree with the reasoning, but geez. Did they beat their children? Did they neglect them? I'm not sure I'm ok with the state taking such a drastic measure based on names.

It wasn't the names.

Children are ONLY removed from the home under suspicion of physical or sexual abuse, or when the home is unfit/unsafe.

Even if the names were actionable (they're not) it alone would not warrant removal from the home.

One could argue that naming your kids ridiculous names sets them up for abuse in society, and shows irresponsibility and neglect on the part of the parent. That probably gave them a heads up but there is likely more to the story, I would imagine it has something to do with maybe militaristic actions on the behalf of the parents, training them to be terrorists or something like that. Could be some other "regular" type of abuse like physical, sexual, but I would think the physical may have something to do with beating hate into your kids.

Who knows. I still like it, a lot. Parents like that don't deserve children.

Black people have all sorts of crazy names, it makes them feel unique or something. It's a pretty common stereotype, "Laquissha" "Lashawndauh" and all that fucking bullshit.

I don't know any one else named "Aryan Nation" or "Adolf Hitler" though. It'd be like naming your kid "Fuck You Nelson" or something. Totally unacceptable.

Unacceptable or not, no one should have to worry about losing their children solely because the authorities didn't like their name.

I agree that it is unlikely that that was the real reason they were taken, but in the event that it was, I hope Mr. and Mrs. Racist Fuck sue the hell out of someone.

It was probably the meth lab in their basement that got the kids removed. The names are just icing on some kind of fucked up cake those people are baking.

I saw the story in the local paper a month ago when the supermarket refused to put the kid's name on a birthday cake. The funny part was that they got Walmart to do it.

Once you make it illegal to be a racist, you start running into thoughtcrime issues.

It's one thing to name your kid something odd. Hell, even something that's inappropriate (though I think Fuck You Nelson would be such an awesome name that I'd be in awe of it). It's another thing entirely when you give your child a name that will induce an immediate response of revulsion and anger from most people. Who the fuck does that to a kid? I don't care if you believe Hitler was the second coming, if you've got half a fucking brain (and if you believe Hitler was the second coming, you probably don't) you don't give your child a name that's going to fuck them for the rest of their life, no matter how "proud" you are.

My wife taught at a school where one little girl had the name "myluv princess diana, etc etc" They called her just "myluv"

So my slave name is James, but my liberated name is "g0fvckyerself"
