16 years is rough. Crimes were pretty severe. Nevada has very strict penalties on crimes like this because of the nature of Las Vegas and stuff. I don't know if his previous acquittal of murder has any role in it though. He may have caught a break with not getting more harsh penalties.

Nazism aside, these jerks are acting like he's being convicted for the murder, which he was declared not guilty of in the same system of criminal courts that convicted him today. I've had a best friend murdered and it hurts very much. I still write him birthday cards to this day. I'm over the shock of it and it'll always hurt, I can imagine a family member being more hurtful, but them taking solace in his conviction as if it were vindication for them or karma in some way is stupid.

They're fuckheads and they just need to get over it. It's been 13 years. Seriously. Let the man live his life. (Which he will now -- in prison.)
