I downloaded the demo for 360 but haven't had time to play it more than once. Once it's released I'll probably get it for PS3 though.

The demo for the PS3 was released today as well.

Oh ok nice, that'll be good if I end up getting snowed in this weekend.

Well I have been snowed in, and I am enjoying the PS3 demo. Ever since MW2 I've started preferring the PS3 controller to the 360 for games like this.

I've not doing very well, but I'm still having a lot of fun. Too bad nearly all of the weapons and upgrades are locked in the demo.

I hope it is well received. I can't take much more of MW2 and teams composed entirely of grenade launchers and teleporting knife bitches...

I'm thinking about getting it. I enjoyed the first bad company for both single and multiplayer. I really hope you can stay in our own party chat unlike MW2 multiplayer. That alone ruined what should have been a great game. Instead we have to resort to playing in our own private games.

You can stay in your own party and chat in MW2, but I think it's only allowed in the Ground War (Domination/Deathmatch) games.

Mercenary, others.

Been a while since a game has given me blue balls like this. It wouldn't be a Battlefield game without random crashes and disconnects right when you get on a roll.

Awesome game despite a rough first day. It's odd how medics/engineers don't start off with their class defining items. It isn't all that much to unlock, but still very weird.

Yea, random crashes kinda suck. The game definitely has a different feel to it than MW2. The maps seem much bigger, the game is quieter, there are less 'in your face' graphics when shit happens (getting multiple kills, headshots, defending flags, etc.). I wouldn't call it the MW2 killer, but it's definitely an adequate substitute.

Oh, and getting into a match with 2 people, both on the same side, isn't too fun.

Gamestop won't let me use my $10 credit on it, so I probably won't buy it until it comes down in price, and probably not then either.

Best way to describe this is Battlefield 3 Lite. 32 players instead of 64, the map size feels smaller than standard Battlefield games, but as mentioned bigger than MW2. The action is fast and everything feels balanced so far, at least the bit it let me play last night.

Knifing feels so good. Almost an art.

Protubing is still here, but it doesn't infuriate me the way it does in MW2. Probably because I can load an ATV full of C4 and crash it into faggot snipers houses and jihad him and his 20 friends to hell and I forget all about it.

Two things bother me. The bloom is insane. Even turned off it's bright as shit. Even for non snipers. And for some reason when I jump in a Humvee and get on the 50, when I fire the game turns into Michael J Fox Simulator.

Knifing is much better in BC2 than in MW2, where people knife you from 10 feet away while firing their Stingers at the Harrier that you just summoned.

What is protubing?

Maybe referring to the typical "gun used by terrible people because they can score easy kills without really aiming at anything" weapon that every FPS has at least one of?

Yeah, the rifle-mounted grenade launcher, colloquially referred to as the Noob Tube or (newly) Pro Pipe.

Also I ended up getting this game with a massive trade-in credit from the Stop. Only played it a couple of times, but it's pretty fun. Definitely more than I expected it to be.

I'm having a blast with it. I really can't find a weakness with any of the classes. They are all fun in their own way. You can really pile on the points as a Medic, however. I'm always in the top 3 or 4 when I'm a Medic.

The skill rating thing is pretty wonky. I played like 10 games yesterday, got the Ace pin in around 6 of them, then today it said that my ranking went down based on my shitty gameplay yesterday. I think it puts too much weight on deaths. I am good at dying when playing defense. :P

Not sure if anyone plays this game or not on the Xbox, but if so, here's how to get the Dr. Pepper DLC for free:
