I heard this has been announced today. MMO? Will it come with a catheter so I can continue my 150 hour boss fight without having to get up from my steel-reinforced computer chair?

Meh, I'm not too big on the trailers. Need some gameplay footage!

Looking forward to checking it out. If they keep the general class-based system in tact from FFXI, and some of the gameplay features, the sky's the limit as far as potential goes. Please for the love of God make a good, customizable UI!

I'm fairly excited. I'd be happy with an updated engine for FFXI to be honest. I'm interested to see what they do with the game now that they aren't limited by the ps2. Though I'm sure in 6 years we'll all be cussing at ps3 limitations.

If you believe sony's hype, the ps3 has no limitations...

Other than the fact that sony has no idea what the fuck they're doing with it.

What version PS3 was included in the Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle?

EDIT

Found it, it's an 80 gig. Anybody buy this bundle, or the 160 Drakes Fortune bundle? Or even the Motorstorm one.

I'm looking forward to this in a big way. Shame it's not till next year however.

I never quite got how folks could play a mmo on a console tho, with all the typing required. I mean, yeah you can get a keyboard, but you'd keep having to set one thing down to pick up the other in the midst of the action.

My list of please god don't suck looks like thus for 2010:

Global Agenda, The Agency and FFXIV. I am also curious to see if they are going with Velious as the next EQ2 expansion.

Everything else on my list is on console, a first in a long time. The new Wii Metroid makes me hard. New Super Mario Bros. Wii will be fun as well. 2010 will be a pretty good year for consoles for sure. PC will suck hind tit for sure.

*nods* I've been playing the Ps3 a bit lately. Just got into bioshock. Interesting game I suppose. I keep getting freaking lost lol.

how the fuck do you get lost in Bioshock -- it's completely linear, and it's only possible to backtrack so far.

We were at this E3 and all the conferences, and here is a bit of the reactions at the Sony's Conference for FFXIV :P It was a lot of fun attending these conferences and hearing people's real reactions you don't find on the net too offen btw.

Yea the intros mean pretty much nothing to me outside of the fact that you have some familiar races there. I really enjoyed the races in FFXI, so that's a plus in my book =)

it hasn't been confirmed if tarus are in the game, and i have no reason to believe they aren't, but if for some reason there are no tarus, the game could be ocarina of time online and i would not play it

I'd be surprised if Taru weren't in the game. You can already see Humes, Galka, and Mithra. There are also Elvaan in the "concept art" on the site. I say "concept art" because it's more like a banner or whatever for their main site.

Those aren't the same races. They made them similar for recognition, but they are not the same.

Didn't know we had a munchkin furry population on the lanys boards. Things you learn.

They can say it's not the same race, but everyone knows what the races are modeled after. Doesn't matter if they cut the tail off the Galka or not. Call it what you want.

No furry fantasies here, I just like them in the same way I like gnomes. Small, gimpy, hilarious, but able to hold their own with the biggest of opponents. It adds a certain hilarity value to a game IMO, and keeps it from taking itself too seriously.
