I know its really early to get all hyped up about this, but the cover story in this months GI was AC2. From what they showed it is looking amazing and I already cant wait till release (I assume some time next year). Takes place in late 1400's italy, the main char is a noble turned assassin for advancement in the social hierarchy I assume.

Theres tons and tons more info in the GI issue i highly recomend picking it up its well worth the read. I think their website will have it all up on the 16th if im not mistaken.

The first one looked incredible too. At least until you started doing the same thing over and over and over and over and over... Or ran with your horse near guards.

That's one of the things im excited about in 2 so far. They are redoing the mission setup completely, now you have contacts throughout the city that provide you with mission type objectives, which can then lead to more objectives and mission types so on and so on, and taking out the town connecting "wilderness" and its supposed to flow more from place to place.

also excited about the new/smarter guard types.

I didn't even play through the original game's story, but I had a lot of fun. I just kept assassinating townspeople in Jerusalem and taking on all comers with the guards. Certain amount of GTA-style fun, I'm looking forward to this iteration =)

Every time I ran by a guard, I just wanted him to randomly yell at me like the Oblivion guards.

The first one was a huge yawnfest. Beautiful, but fucking boring.
