To put an end to the "wireless is too slow for downloading demos and movies" bullshit that's been in this thread --

Wireless G has a maximum throughput of 54mbps. Average is around 30mbps.

The 360 and PS3 both have 100mbit ethernet ports on them, but it can be a hassle routing wires to your setup in a lot of cases.

Your average high speed internet connection in the US is currently 1.5mbps.

Even if you set up wireless adapters and can only get 10mbps, you're still able to saturate your inbound connection, so what the fuck does it matter if wireless is slower than wired? The lowest common denominator is your connection inside the house.

Now, you can do a nice setup with multiple routers configured as wireless switches if you want (which is what I've done) so your PC(s) is/are on a direct link to your connection, and your media server and consoles are on a dedicated switch with a wireless link between routers, but for MOST people, the PS3's built in WiFi or the 360's adapter will work just fine.

Now that we have that out of the way.... The PS3 is a technically superior machine, if Sony could just pull their heads out and put it to work. XBox Live has about three times the available content of all its competitors combined, but the range is so diverse that probably only a quarter of it will appeal to any given person. That puts it a little ahead of the Wii (narrower market focus) and significantly ahead of the PS3 (no market focus).

The NXE update will not materially change your gaming experience. The Media Center interfaces are way faster than they were, the controls are more intuitive now, which is great since they don't seem to be documented anywhere, so you -need- to be able to find them accidentally the first time. The wireless adapter is, um, not the 360's best feature. I suspect it was left off the core design because it needed work, and then it didn't get any work. The NXE update includes the Avatar Editor, which will look just illegally familiar if you've ever created a Mii.

I would try Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II, but for some reason, paying 40 bucks for a used game seems a little off to me.
