Picked this up yesterday for $50.00. Link for anyone who hasn't heard about it.

Enjoy it so far with a pretty good song selection. It's a little awkward holding but I got used to it after a bit. The pick is kinda clunky but is still a nice touch. To activate Star Power, the manual says to yell "Rock Out!" into the mic (LOL) but blowing into it works fine as does using any of the buttons/directional pad. My daughter activated it a couple of time just by laughing near me.

A pretty good way to get your GH fix when you don't have access to a full blown version...like at work...like I'm doing right now. :)

Do you find it hard to follow the notes on the small screen? Never heard of DS GH before, but sounds like it could be good for road trips where I don't bring my 360 with me. $50 is steep, but if it is as enjoyable as the regular, the song selection alone makes it worth it (A lot of my favorites this time around.)

Why would other companies make an adapter if you can only get the legit game with the real adapter?

Why do other companies make wireless guitars if you can only get guitars w/ the purchase of the game?

My bad, I didn't realize the DS version had a 2 player mode.

So two people can play with only one DS and one game cartridge?

No, but it has a multiplayer component. I saw where you were going with your technicality based on 2 people playing on one console, but that doesn't fly. There will be a 3rd-party adapter released, just like there were 3rd party releases for even GH w/o 2 player support.

I'm confused, which Guitar Hero was not two player compatible?

I thought Guitar Hero (original) lacked 2 player at once support?

I know GH2 had it. That's the first title I bought though. At any rate, my point still stands. There will be some kind of 3rd party adapter built that has better convenience and larger buttons. (Which is a complaint of the stock adapter atm.)
