Friend codes and lack of communication tools are a fucking pain in the ass. And it is sad because the game is a blast, I love Mario Kart. But Jesus Christ on a pogo stick, do friend codes suck.

About communication though, I'm not too excited about their fucking TV microphone.

Its better than nothing, and I understand why Nintendo does this though. They are more of a family brand, and parents trust Nintendo products to be safe for their kids. Do you know what kind of BS goes on Xbox Live with chat and that stupid webcam? I can post links to "Some dude was jerking off when we were playing UNO!"

Myself, I have seen punk kids doing weed, but thats about it (which is good compared to the other events). I don't think Nintendo wants to risk those types of elements allowed on their online services....I really don't blame them. If I bought Mario Kart for my kid, and he or she plays online....I don't want to worry about stupid fools being dumb. Know what I mean?

Even if Nintendo wanted to do the friend code thing, so you can only add people who's codes you have, there are better ways of going about it.

Make the system itself contain the friend code, much like the Mii parade/internal messaging/etc has, and if you're friends with someone there, then you're friends with them in all online games. Add in voice chat capabilities to the lobbies and come out with a headset attachment like the nunchuk. For parental controls, you can disable random matchmaking (if the game has it) in the system settings and require a passcode of some sort to re-enable it.

They did the same clusterfuck with the DS.

Gost, I might not be able to make it tonight. There are fires in my area, freeways are closed, and the traffic is REAL bad. It might take me a few hours to get home. Also, my Internet has been messed up since Thursday the last time we played.

My ISP will be onsite to check my lines/cables at my house tomorrow morning. So, I hope everything will be resolved by then. If I can make it though

Err my friends and I are going to see the 2:30PM show of Watchmen I won't be able to make it on Sat. Sunday will be much better for me tho After 2:00PM PST on Sunday

Yeah, lets stop planning for shit here on the forums. If I ever want to plan a real tournament people will look back at the forums and be discouraged by the many cancellations.

I'll update my profile with my messenger handles, if anyone wants to play any Wii game I own (all listed on the list up there) just contact me through a messenger, I'm almost always on, if I'm not busy most likely I'll agree to play whatever.

Only thing I'll organize here on the forums is any kind of tournament, but I don't think that will EVER happen considering how the Wii lost its appeal to everyone except 4 of us. So, lets let this thread die. ;P
