What you may not know is that the game will be using an entirely new gameplay mechanic. From what everyone has heard, it appears Microsoft is going to be revealing their very own Wiimote, and no, I'm not joking. While this hasn't been confirmed, sources say that Rare is calling the new gameplay the biggest surprise they've ever had. If it's not something like a Wiimote, what else could it be?

Tomorrow is Microsoft's Gamer's Day.

I'm obviously not a fan of the wiimote gimmick, and I seriously hope that isn't their aim. All sources point that it is however.

I feel it's a failed fad. Should have just whipped one up real fast to bundle in with Halo 3 to tack on another 20 bucks. Make it like a dumb head sensor headset with special gimmick levels where you have to drive a Warthog with your face.

Even Nintendo who are the "pioneers" the thing have failed with it. And why is it getting so damn hard to find Gamecube controllers? They are superior in every way to the classic Wii controler for SSBB, and forget using the stupid wiimote for that game.

I hate Nintendo.

I don't understand why they stopped producing the wavebird. SSBM is not really playable with the remote, nor the classic (classic is only good for VC titles), you need a gamecube controller. And it shouldn't be wired. :\

As for the remote itself, I like it, it is really fun in some games. Is it the second coming? No. Should it replace traditional controllers? No (reason why you don't play Smash or Mario Kart with it). I really think there's more to come that will take better advantage of the technology, it definitely can be more than a gimmick.

The Pelican wireless are a pretty good sub for the wave bird from my experience. They have gimmicky turbo Z's or something, but I don't use them.
