Am I the only Wii fan?

First impressions...it's weird. WEIRD! Mario acts like he's high on something. I've only gotten 2 power stars so far, only played for about 45 minutes, but I can't tell if it's fun or just really boring and different.

What do you guys think?

Haven't been able to pick it up as of yet but I am planning on it this weekend.

Just opened my second galaxy.. controls are okey dokey so far

Also got my wiimote condoms today as well, so getting used to the different feeling there.

I'll probably get it in the next few weeks. I think it sounds like a lot of fun-- we'll see!

I got it, very good game so far.

The levels with the classic theme songs are fun and hard.

We got a ton at target, but I am trying to get one at toys r us for the gift card, so far I am on a wild goose chase.

I hear people have been able to get a price match at Best Buy, so if you have one close you can do that. Waring got it for 24.99. I completely forgot and didn't ask them for a price match.

Gonna pick it up after I recover from surgery, but I'm hearing it's the greatest thing since sliced bread for Mario fans. So I'll probably buy it.

I really love the music in this game..

The familiar tune (not sure of the name) at the observatory with the stars dancing together in the background is just.. soothing

Not really, I kind of understand her position cuz my mom has a lot of health issues, I know what it's like for someone.

That is good to hear about the Music. I heard Nintendo did an outstanding job in this regards. But, how is the game, Lou? Is it fun and one of the best Wii games to date? More info please!

I picked it up and I love it. It's truly fun, although I didn't like Mario 64 (felt the controls / camera could have been way better, but hey it was the first 3d game) this one really does everything right.

For a console with a very weak game lineup this was a big boon to it. The playability of Mario is almost endless. I still play Super Mario Bros to this day. =)

Mostly good things, some things are annoying (camera control in some areas)



It's very good

One thing that annoys me is you only 'save' four of your lives, but every time you start up you pretty much have an email with 5 more, but you have to go talk to the guy for a few seconds, why not just start out with 9, and there are some easy one ups in the observatory as well..

Overall a great game, the controls work well, swimming could be improved if it went to a first person view and you used the motion controls for that, but it's no different than any other 'swimming' crap in other games.

Skycrasher just gave it a thumbs up, and I think he's only slammed anything to do with the Wii :p

No haven't had tons of surgeries just been waiting on the one surgery with the wrist, was going to have it in Sept/Oct though and it was rescheduled for 11/19. And since the wii remote (without nunchuck) has a lot of games that can be played 1 handed, it will give me something to do while I'm bored shitless waiting to use my right hand again.

But Mario Galaxies isn't one of those games. So I'll be picking it up in a month or two.

Picked Galaxies up last night and played through part of the first galaxy. Fun so far! I haven't played a platform game in a long time though... I apparently have gained a lot of suck over the last few years.
