This is one of Square's long time series in Japan. Its still a new series to the USA tho. They never released all of them here in the states. Think Pokemon, but with a Dragon Quest twist...or think Dragon Quest Monster ;) Since the series came out way before Nintendo's Pokemon games.

Here is IGN.COM's review, and they give the game a 7.9
