Fire Emblem is one of Nintendo's long time RPG series, and its very big in Japan. The Nintendo Wii version ships out next week, Nov 5th. If you have not given the Fire Emblem series a try, you really should because it features good character driven story lines. Here are a few pictures of the game on the Wii.

Hopefully you don't have to use the pointer or motion sensors of the controller, there's no need to for a game like this. Developers need to realize it is ok to not use the futures of the wii sometimes. Same way there are fun games for the DS that don't use the touch screen at all.

Just make it compatible with the GC controller and you're golden.

It's a shame that things like IR pointing weren't included to make unit movement faster, as it's a serious no-brainer, but if you're looking for the most hardcore, by-the-books classic offering Nintendo has put out in years, you'll find it here. The story seems to be pretty solid thus far, but what it's really all about is moving the units, developing strategies, and dominating in tactical combat.

It does not use any of the Wiimote features (IR or motion). You can use the classic controller or Gamecube's etc (I think lol).

Yep, you can use the Wiimote NES style, Gamecube or the Classic controllers. I got my copy today, and I hope to try it out soon enough.

You can use the Wiimote one handed style too, in case you get really excited watching anime girls cast spells.

I really liked Path of Radiance, so I got high hopes for this one.

Anyone play this game and like it? I pre-paid for it and when it was released I never went to pick it up. The game store has been blowing up my phone all week but I was too busy playing some other games that I've been trying to catch up on since leaving the US for almost a year.

I was thinking that it was going to be like Final Fantasy Tactics...of course I think that that one is a classic!

it's really good but the rock paper scissors is a constant reminder of the one in WoW where rogues are scissors and warriors are rock.

it's kind of hard to like this game with the constant use of overpowered characters based on stat gains alone.
