I know this is about a week or two old but some of you might have not seen this.

You can request the new wiimote straps by filling this form out,
http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/webform.jsp

This should keep the wiimote strap from slipping off, I never had an issue with a wiimote being thrown but I do have to constantly retighten it so this should solve having any of that problem and hopefully this solves those people who first play a Wii and think you have to go apeshit to make it work.

I go apeshit on my Wii in some games, and never once have I even gotten close to letting go of the remote. I also took off the original strap. =x

Those ones look neat though, maybe will order one for the "guest" controller.

Half the people that even exist in the gaming world need chin straps, not wrist straps. Now if Nintendo will supply sippie cups and drool bibs, some games may be playable by everyone equally.

There were a lot of complaints about the plastic slider on the 2.0 wrist straps slipping when people were pulling them tight so the remotes wouldn't fly. This is the next logical step to eliminate any further complaints about the straps.
