They haven't said yet, but Nintendo's own games are supposed to be cheap if not free. Games that were published/developed not by Nintendo will probably cost more. Again, no specifics but there should be more information coming out in the next couple months (according to Nintendo's pres). <

Quote:Revered Japanese gaming publication Famitsu has confirmed the rumor that classic first-party Nintendo games will be downloadable for free on the Revolution. The console will feature 221 of Nintendo's games from over the years downloadable straight to your living room. Games going back through the eras of the N64, SNES, and NES will all be avaialable with little trouble to the gamer. Third parties will also be able to make their classic games available for free should they desire; however, all third party companies may charge a price at their discretion.

Guess that didn't really happen.

My Wii remains stashed in the closet, let me know when a good game is released for it.

I would raise my eyebrow to a significant height if they managed to release a game without bunny rabbits, rainbows, and smiley faces. SAVE TEH PRINCESS storylines haven't left me aching for more since preschool.

There's still nostalgia to be had from N64 emulation, a laptop, and a good controller. Not that I would ever consider partaking in such nefarious activities.

I pretty much use my Wii to play Mario Soccer and Kart (rarely) and to play the Gamecube Zelda discs.

To date, i only own smash brothers, wii sports and wii resort for the Wii. Not really into my PS3 either though, so it's probably me more than the system.

I own Mario Cart, Super Mario Bros, and a few sports resort-type games. Mario Cart & Bowling are probably the only ones I played more than 5 times.

Edit: and I own Tiger Woods golf, which was re-gifted to me a year after I gave it to my sister's boyfriend for Christmas, which sort of made it obvious when I was getting Tiger Woods '08 in '09, or whenever it was...

My favorite game on the Wii so far has been the Super Mario Wii game. I miss the 2D platforming games, and this was a blast to play through for me.

Super Mario Galaxy was good for me too, and Super Mario Kart. I have been pretty happy with my Wii overall.

I grabbed donkey kong returns last year ... If you liked the old donkey kong games from the snes this game is a pretty good job of recreating the experience.

Mario Kart makes having the Wii worth it; the New Super Mario Brothers is a lot of fun as well.

I just couldn't get into Mario Kart Wii. It still feels like too much of a rehash of the Gamecube and N64 versions. I felt like going from SNES to N64 was a decent jump for the series... I played the SHIT out of the SNES version, and I still feel like I'm playing the same game. The online component is nice, but it gets stale after a while.

Chelsea bought a Wii and Twilight Princess on impulse on her birthday a few years back. We bought Dokapon Kingdom as a party game, but I think we've only played it like twice. Other than that, it plays my GameCube Zelda and Metroid games on the rare occasions that I pull those back out.

I got a Kinect device during the test phase, and their thank-you gift for testing was "keep the device", so I can't say whether the transition was worth $150 through direct experience, but I loves me some 2v2 Volleyball in my living room.

Yeah, I've never been on the super cutting edge when it comes to consoles. mostly because it's not really my primary entertainment source...if I wanna do "serious" (lol) gaming, I have a PC for that. If I just wanna sit down and play some cartoon tennis with my wife and have some laughs for a few hours, that's what the console is for. =)

It was pretty funny watching the looks on the employees faces at Gamestop when I told them what I wanted to buy, though. They kept trying to talk me out of it as if I didn't understand how old the system is. Heheh.

When I went to buy a PSP a few weeks ago they kept trying to talk me out of it. I told them "As long as I get one I can hack and put old emulators on, I don't need the newest and best."

PSP Slim with CFW is the second thing I pack on every business trip for years now. Only recently bumped from first by the iPad.

I'm gonna give an amen to that. For me practically nothing beats the SNES era.
