Nah, this was a thread about the change pretty much, and lots of raging on both sides.

Short story: Chaos orbs are needed for some tradeskills to make the better items. The Orbs are soulbound (no drop). They changed the auto-rolling feature so if you don't have a tradeskill that uses the Orbs, you cannot even roll on them. People went nuts about the change. Some in favor, some against. Bov posted saying, in essence, "I'm a tank, I have instant queues, I'll just start kicking anyone out of my groups that do tradeskills that require the Orb since they benefit from my tanking." Chaos (pun intended) followed.

Neesha is correct. I'm not entirely sure that Bovinity was trolling, given their lengthy history here.

Nah, I'm entirely too lazy to bother actually checking peoples' tradeskills and kicking them and getting new people and...blah blah. Was just fun watching people get all crazy. =D

I do still think that BoP items to craft BoE items are silly. But it really doesn't matter, they're going for like 100g on my server now, I had a guy give them to me pretty much for free when I had my items made.

Our prices right now are the at the far end of the insanity spectrum. We're talking 30,000 gold for crafted epics, 15,000 for some blues...etc

Yeah...every server is going to have a period early on where orbs are insane in price and it's frustrating that you can't farm your own orbs to make things.


Then again, everything is silly expensive early on. I made a fortune mass producing Maelstrom Crystals and selling them for thousands each, among other things.
