After not logging into WoW for over a week now (and not missing it at all) I canceled my account. Going out side to look at the sun and trees |

I am dangerously close to doing the same (quitting, fuck going outside). I actually look forward to logging into Eve and almost dread logging into WoW. |

I canceled a few weeks ago but ive been playing eq2 alot more on Crushbone, 2 boxing a Warden and Shadowknight. Cant say i miss wow at all. |

Eve corps are a lot meaner than any EQ guild I can think of. It's kind of telling that the last group to really hash out any sort of territory for themselves was Goonsquad. |

I stopped playing WoW for about a month, 2x lvl 80's and not interested in running 4-8 hr raids. With dual spec I came back as I can do quick pvp most of the time, and long raids when I want to abuse myself. but the Summer is a good reason to stop playing. |

Now I really cut the cord. My account has been taken over by a co-worker and she is in the process of transferring the characters to her account. I did log on, for the last time, on Friday. I was able to say good-bye to a few old friends, tell the guild that I am gone that when they see my old toons that it is not me, remove myself from the guild, and take my main characters back to their starting zone (was nothing like the epic journey that I took in EQ on my last day there. Was good to share it with an old friend, but was overall lame in comparison) |

It is really amazing how connected we get to our virtual characters. Whether it is the amount of time spent on them, or the amount of work you put into building up your gear/spells/skills/etc... but many people (myself included) just have a hard time getting away from your characters. Congrats on breaking your "addiction"... of course, the next step is to never go back. But seeing how the account is no longer in your hands, that shouldn't be too hard to do
