Anyone plan on going / get tickets for it today?

Tickets apparently sold out in less then a minute. Have fun paying a scalper for a ticket minus the keys that come with it which will be sold separately.

You can also get it on PPV for DirecTV. It costs $40 and includes the in-game pet (which is the Murloc Space Marine, I believe).

BlizzCon Summation:

"We're working on (Balance/Content/etc) in WoW but no extra details at this time."

"Starcraft 2 is coming, but no extra details at this time."

"We're working on that new MMO but no extra details at this time."

I was able to get tickets, just curious if anybody from here was going to go.

I don't want to be guilded with 99 percent of the people playing this game, I could never justify anything except mass murder going there.

You know a company has lost its way when they are charging you to watch their self-promotion. Pay-per-view event on direcTV and online? Sheesh.

I never attended a SoE fan faire so this should be interesting with respect to the people aspect of things. My primary motivation is the games and it doubles as an excellent excuse to vacation to California with friends.

If there are any must see things in the LA or San Diego area, please share.

This isn't a new thing.

The event is actually fun, I went last year and had a blast. Liked the crowd much better than the comic-con crowd (comic-con crowds SMELL). Not going this year, it's quite pricey, especially when you have to buy two tickets.

I'd go if they had them in Atlanta. West coast bad.

With the exception of the long lines, I enjoyed it last year as well. Got lucky with a hotel room right next to the convention so no parking worries, and there was plenty to keep you occupied. Plus The Guild was there, bonus!

Changed one word, but your story is vastly superior at this point.
