I am still annoyed that so much of the gear looks the same. A lvl 71 green sword shouldn't have the same model as a sword from the top boss in the game, even if they altered the color of the blade.

Just another update for those who don't keep up with rogue DPS, the haste change to SnD in 3.09 put combat Shiv pretty close to beating 15/51/5 with vile poisons over relentless. The LR haste will supposedly put it over as the highest DPS. The optimal weapon setup being dual Hailstorms, DP/IP. So basically combat is still garbage and HAT reigns supreme for boss DPS.

The LR change is coming in 3.1, they upped the haste from SnD in 3.09.

I'm currently using calamity's/webbed death as CQC combat, I also passed on hailstorm a few times banking on the LR change to boost straight CQC > CQC/Sword combos.

I've been hesitant to go HAT. Mainly because we don't have a solid crit group and my performance would depend on attendance and who I can put in my party, as well as regemming for expertise. I'd also have to pick up some other gear like the non-set stuff, if I were to min/max at least.

I'll tell you, I think my dps suffers more then anything because I don't have another rogue to trade tricks with, but I can barely pull 4.5k on some fights as mutilate, and I'm completely geared, just missing another WD or SR, and I haven't specced hat for the same reason you haven't.

Some more *possible* rogue changes. Poisons becoming proc per minute based, thus no longer being ridiculously scaled to haste in 3.1. This also means 2x sinister revenge will be > 2x webbed death for mut, and a damage decrease in poisons across the board.

Can anyone find and confirm the new Hunter Trap Throwing ability?

Said it was a talent, not on talent calcs, and I've read it is a trained ability, but some people are reporting they cannot find it on the trainers.

Bearne wins - 1k fee for dual spec.

As a resto druid I've already adjusted my gear towards mana per 5, and increasing my mana pool. I've already decided my offspec will be feral, mainly because of my luck in getting feral offspec gear.

You should have 10k + if you finish all the zones off quests alone, I've done it on 2 characters already and working on a 3rd.

If you level in this order without instances or rested xp Borean Tundra, Howling Fjord, Dragonblight, Grizzley Hills, Zuldrak and half of Sholazar Basin, you'll be 80 and should have around 3 to 4k gold from quests. Finish Sholazar, Storm Peaks and Icecrown and you'll end up with around 10k.

After that go farm humanoids in Icecrown, I routinely sell just junk items for about 200gp an hour. I dont even do dailies anymore except cooking / JC because I can grind out money faster then running around doing dailies.

Oh, the quest cash was great, but it's spent. Flight, etc. I was unaware icecrown giants were such a goldmine, but it's worth it to check it out, it seems. Still waiting on Bov's input. =)
