Yeah I've seen that. I'm slowly rebuilding a pvp set for my hunter. And leveling a warlock who will have lots of hk to blow once she's 70, since I doubt I'll raid her.

Well you certainly won't be getting anything more than s2 with that. S2 is pretty good, but only outside of BT weapons. I think even some badge weapons are better than Season 2.

None of the good arena stuff is attainable before WOTLK with just losing. You'll be gathering points at the rate of 100 per week or less.

So basically, you can't suck if you want anything better than badge weapons and old SSC/TK weapons.

Yeah, I always hated that little bit of misinformation, too.

"Just losing" in arena will get you crap, and very slow crap at that. It could literally take you months to get a Season 2 weapon by "just losing", and a S3 or S4 weapon would be unattainable.

In comparison, you could just get the badge weapons which are better than S2 weapons anyway.

I think that's the exact opposite of what Blizzard wants.

I'm pretty sure, going by their comments, that they want more intermingling of all aspects of the game, not less.

PvE gear can be tons better, but only work inside PvE instances. PvP gear can work everywhere else for world PvP.

I like that solution better.

If that were true they would have put effort into their pvp systems, and not keep slapping band aid after band aid on them.

I actually agree with you on that, and I think that sometimes Blizzard lets their own item budget system hamstring their development and itemization.



I know this is opinion, but I still think - in terms of gameplay - that WoW has the best PvP out there.

Is Warhammer better? I don't know and I can't trust reviews until the newness and hype periods have worn off. I do know that I've heard that the Scenarios are the same instanced PvP as WoW BG's, and it doesn't matter how good they are, eventually people will tire of that just like they tired of the same old instanced PvP areas in WoW too.

No matter how good they make it, instanced PvP is instanced PvP, and it'll inevitably become repetitive and annoying. As for the rest of WAR's PvP, I don't know enough details to comment.



I actually supported just giving players a box of "Arena-only" gear when they created an arena team, but since that's so far out of the question it's not even funny, I don't bother fighting for it.

Are PvP weapons still an issue? With the 2050 required rating, they're very difficult to obtain. Season 4 is worlds different than season 2 in terms of the rate at which people achieve power through pvp.

And of those teams, how many are comprised of people without guilds in Sunwell, that is, exactly how many people are bringing S4 weapons to raids below Sunwell and 'gimping' the content?
