Conquest on Kilrogg server
Raid times: 4:45 - 9 PST pm server time, Sunday to Friday during progression
Status: Sunwell and previous instances on farm (full clear)

Looking for all except: Rogues, Warriors, Hunters

Especially looking for: resto shamans, shadow priests

Requirements:

Gear: Tier 6, we do not do old content to gear up recruits.
Commitment: MUST BE ABLE TO ATTEND 100% OF RAIDS (w/ few exceptions)
UI: Use mods you need for your class/role. No "I can't tell which raid member has the debuff I can cure/heal". Must use Omen.
Meta: No drama, no sensitives -- if you are either of those you'll probably find yourself eaten alive Must be able to take constructive (if sometimes blunt) criticism about your performance.
Notes: Expect no favors if you are a friend of someone in the guild or were long-time roommates, enemies, or fans. We're concerned with getting good, committed players on the road to WOTLK.

That being said, if you consider yourself or have been told that you are a good player who knows their class and is good at on-the-fly adjustments / situational awareness (extremely important for the last 3 bosses of Sunwell !) please apply.

Why to join?:
- Your server sucks and no one is really progressing Sunwell, and you want to see high-end content before they nerf it all to hell.
- Nokkturnal is your hero.
- Aside from raiding CQ members are active in doing heroics and weekly Kara/ZA runs
- You're confident that you're a good gamer and want to play with other good gamers.
- You can withstand the sometimes terrible humor and (occasionally ill-natured) ribbing that goes along with playing with 25 other crazy people 6 nights a week.
Occasionally we go to 10 or 10:30 PST if we're close to a first kill.
- The guild, during progression, pays for repairs. Occasionally we get guild goldpayouts from selling BOE drops from world bosses for people with excellent attendance.

I just transferred off Kilrogg. Conquest was at the top of the server, though a couple of other guilds (Last Call, Still Life on A, Temporary Insanity on H) aren't far behind them. They've had some fairly intense turnover, and are re-gearing some folks; it's probably a really good time to get in.

I don't recognize as many names in there as I once did; less than a third are old-school CQ. Whether that's a disappointment or a reassurance should inform your decision about applying. It looks like they're still having fun, and no one else even close to their level is recruiting much these days on Kilrogg. Also bear in mind that "100% of raids" means at least five days a week -- Sunday through Thursday right now, if I remember right.

EDIT: Taenia says the raid schedule is now Sunday through Friday, 5-9pm Pacific time.

Yeah, of the original EQers and new EQers (daoc recruits such as myself) there's only a handful left --- though, not to any sort of drama but simply natural attrition from time with people graduating from college and having jobs that prevent them from playing or simply not wanting to "powergame" anymore.

Even Itzlegend doesn't play WoW. Let me see... Taenia, Nokk, myself, Daruk, Svifwin, Zania, Zav are left of people who played EQ (at least, active raiders). Jander played with us in DAOC and came back to WoW after skipping EQ.

Turn-over is pretty bad atm but it's pretty typical for this time of the year. Still looking for a resto shaman and possibly more.

Its funny how the raiding days have changed over the years. Most guilds seem to favor a Sun-Thur/Friday raid schedule now. (Which I love)

Just makes me wonder where everyone is now from Lanys? We should start doing reunions or something. I started EQ (if counting beta) what... 98/99? 1999 I was a senior in high school. I believe Lanys opened either 2000 or 2001 around Christmas. The last bit of EQ1 I remember was OoW... I think. haha.

I remember finally just having to lock myself in my apartment due to my major so I could pass exams. I found raiding was the best way to keep my in my seat and deny playing basketball until morning and eating at the huddle house before class. Raided under the Beer Mug Clan with Conquest for quite some time. Just before joining Conquest I went to Daytona Beach only to come back to a ghost town. Apparently something happened during a Sleeper's Tomb raid...

Then we had the Fallen Legacy times together (nudge Elessar) before finally hanging up my hardcore raiding shoes because I graduated and now I have a family.

Sorry, all this Nokk boob talk caused me to reminisce. Well, maybe we'll see some of you guys in Conan. I need to PvP to give me any pleasure in MMO's now-a-days. Everything just seems too repetitive.

Updated the recruitment post, shameless bump.

Incidentally, there are two ways to kill the Twins. One way is easier and yields less loot (kill sister A first, basically), and the other (kill sister B) is much harder but you get more stuff.

It might be worth noting that Conquest just drilled on the hard way until they got it. When they say the Twins are down, they're not glossing over a shortcut.

Duty kept acting like we were going every year. I was probably 16-17 when you started throwing the roasts. However, now i'm a bit older and would like to try to come if I can get Duty off his butt. I always hated to miss it each year. It always seem to be a really good time from the pics i've seen.

Nice to see Conquest on beta, anyone know if Zav ever fixed the crashing issue on his warrior? I still have it going on and now it crashes in-game if I am lucky enough to get back online.
