Aye, if you buy the whole thing.

The guild bank has 6 tabs, each tab has 98 Slots (588 Slots total).

Tab 1 - 1g
Tab 2 - 10g
Tab 3 - 100g
Tab 4 - 1000g
Tab 5 - 5000g
Tab 6 - 10000g

So yeah, the total cost is 16111g

This may sound crazy, but what do guild banks hold these days? I have the "guild bank" for Vita, but it's mostly Void Crystals. I keep it on group loot during raids, so all of the trash greens and blues are just greeded off. Back before BC, we had Lava Cores, Elementium Ore, tons of mats for resist gear for Nax, etc. Now, there's not much that we collect these days (unless that comes later). What do higher-end guilds collect to where they need a guild bank? The only thing I can think of is Primals and crap for resist gear.

I guess that depends on what the guild is willing to provide.

I see it as a hidden message of "WotLK will have tons of shit you need to keep track of."

I think this feature will be very welcome, especially for when you're having to put together resist sets for tanks/guild and wanting to pay the repair bills for an encounter that is overly difficult (Twin Emps, Kael, etc.).

I've heard some rumors that tank sets might go to new slotting, in other words tanks won't have to devote 3-4 bags just for gear changes. :P No ETA and I haven't heard anything other than rumors on it...but I'm hoping.

I think Givin's called it though with the bank slotting. :\ Plus I'm going to assume the new craftables will mean more crap to hoard.

I would love for hunters to get a dedicated quiver/ammo slot.

Also, I was under the impression that there could only be 1 guildbank per guild.

I assume that you're talking about 2 people buying 3 tabs each. Is this possible? Again, I thought that there was only the GM could purchase a guild bank for the guild.

Creating a fake guild would solve that problem.

That kind of defeats the part of the purpose of a guildbank, doesn't it? Sure, it's additional storage but you still need to log onto a fake guild toon and mail or trade the gold/items/mats to your mains. If that's what Givin was talking about then that's fine. I was just wondering if I was missing something.

It would be quite a bit easier if all officers have access to a central bank via alts, rather then one alt that one person has access to. Or sharing account info.

But you're right, it's still a bit of a hassle.

The name of the game is storage space.

Since it is instant to send items across to your own characters, it would just take a moment to transfer.

And the recipient would only have to be near a mailbox, not a bank (or wherever you access the guild bank). Can park the alt somewhere with low population like Thunder Bluff, much less lag than where a raid toon would be.

Plus there's a lot of people that like to hoard metric fucktons of mats. I know more than a couple of people who go through tons of blue gems, every upgrade means lots of new slotting, plus they have multiple gear sets, etc.

I have a bank alt character. It's bank is almost always full. It's bags are almost always full. And I'm constantly DEing and AHing shit. This doesn't even BEGIN to count all the crap I have in my "mailbox bank". It's going to be really nice to have access to a ton of storage just for my personal needs. And with instant mail...there's no more storage problem.
