Most likely they'll open up the fortress taken up by the orcs.

Onyxia uses deep breath more often.

That would be Grim Batol, which is in Wetlands not Dustwallow Marsh. That would, however, be nice if they opened it.

I'm thinking that its more then likely going to be some retarded Onyxia Heroic Mode with Tier 4 side grade items....

Beta test for the "Legacy" content if I had to guess.

Never actually done any quests in that zone so I don't have the foggiest idea as to the lore in that area.

There aren't very many for Alliance. The end of the Missing Diplomat line and part of The Star, The Hand and The Heart are the two main ones. There's also a mage quest and a ZF quest that start there. There are a few more for Horde including a couple about the dragonkin outside Onyxia's lair.

You forgot the Shady Rest Inn quest chain, thank you.

I want to see an actual ending to that, along with more of The Missing Diplomat.

I'm afraid there is no more to the Shady Rest Inn questline, other than a slightly different telling from the Horde side. Essentially the Theramore deserter you investigate, Pavel Reethe, antagonized the ogres of the Horde camp (Brackenwall Village), and when the deserters kicked him out, he took refuge at the Shady Rest Inn. Some Horde decided to even the score, and after tracking Reethe back to the Inn, they leveled it (hence the hoofprints and tauren-made shield you find). Ironically, Pavel Reethe made it out of the Inn alive, and is living in the wilds of Dustwallow.

You are wrong. The Theramore people kill Reethe before he can tell you who did it, while questioning him with and Ogre, on the Horde side.

You never find out, either way, who did it. Not Alliance, and not Horde. When you talk about where Paval Reethe is on the Alliance side, the quest chain ends there. It is a really strange quest, with a really strange, sudden ending, on both sides.

Edit: And let me say that, the Tauren Made Shield could have been made for a human. The smith says that he has made dozens of shields, for all races, over the course of his life.

Yes, I had forgotten about the Inn quests. There are a few quests like that that just end with no real resolution. The Essence of Eranikus "series" is another that I wish actually went somewhere.

The one that ends in the Sunken Temple with the Gem that has that Dragons Essence in it?

Yeah, thats it. After you get the trinket you can turn it in for some experience, and you are sent to Winterspring to talk to another NPC. The quest ends abruptly there, though.

Damn I think I sold off or destroyed that trinket more than a year and a half ago. Or is that the one where she kicks your ass from Winterspring all the way to the Plaguelands and damn near kills you with a drop into the lake?

That's the Chromie questline, for the epic pieces of gear that require the hide of the beast or gyth's skin.
