I'm not surprised one bit. They already made it a lot easier. Pretty soon people who have never touched Gruul/Magtheridon will be killing Void Reaver, Lurker, etc. It doesn't bother me though, grats to the people this affects.

Which, I don't...save to do daily quests to fund my warriors mount heh. On a side note, surprisingly, the outcry on this is heavily favoring the removing of the attunment at least thus far.

They dumbed down the game to give more of their player base access. It's a trickle down effect. More content will be re-evaluated as a result of this, and was probably stemmed from the popularity of, in fact, the alchemy changes.

Time is more precious than epics to even the hardest raider.

This doesn't make the encounters any easier, it just eliminates the need to farm a previous tedious step, and alleviates a need that a lot of people felt when regarding Kara.

The only people slighted here is, nobody. Amazing isn't it? Guilds beyond that stage in progression will be able to jack in new members, even without the aid of a flag scroll buildup. Guilds will not have to worry about bribing people to return to Kara to get flags for 2 people.

When did we say we were quitting? Moving servers does not equate to quit.

Let me say first and foremost, I'm not attuned for either The Eye or SSC yet. I'm working on both, but my guild hasn't started 25 man raiding yet (We're small, like, really small, so we have another guild that takes some of us on 25 mans who is also really small. Neither of the guilds wants to merge, but, we did fine before BC, and are doing better now mind you).

I absolutely hate this change. I was looking FORWARD to doing the attunement quests. Hell, I will probably still do them, just for the damn scrolls if they still offer them.

I agree with Givin that raiding guilds will probably benefit the most from it, and I understand where he's coming from too. it was probably real fucking irritating to key new members for The Eye. I can see that being a major annoyance.

But damn, this just sucks imo.

Edit: To clarify the above, I'll be annoyed if they remove all of the quests moreso than them removing the actual attunement (though I do like having all the keys/ attunements I possibly can). The quests are what I am most concerned about. They were the fun of it all. Though, again, I can see how doing the trials of the naaru repeatedly for apps would be fucking annoying.

Givin has a good point. It'll be easier to gear up exceptional applicants that might not have the best of gear or attunements. Unfortunately the days of finding great applicants with all attunements and tons of gear seem to be over, so now we're looking for diamonds in the rough.

You'll find no complaints from me. Guilds that were previously unable to kill Magtheridon won't be killing Kael'thas this week. There's still other cockblocks that will prevent Casual Steve from running around in T6 too soon.

Right. The real reason this went in, was to get around the destruction that was Karazhan. You'll still need High King / Gruul / Mag before you can work on SSC / Eye with the sole possible exception of Void Reaver.

Well, the great thing is the quests aren't removed, and are on the table to being enhanced. The end quest, I assume would yield at least I'd hope an epic item of Gruul/Mag quality.

The Trials quests weren't super difficult, unless you count the Stratho...er Shattered Halls 55 min baron..err....gauntlet run.

Everybody wins again if this goes as it should. If anything, think of this like Naxxramus, and at one point, Blackwing Lair. Anybody can get attuned, but not everyone can perform there.

That's the only benefit I see to this change, giving high-end guilds a larger recruitment base, hmmm I should level up a char...

Sweet. If I can still do the qests then I'm cool with it. (We can do the quests, even the shattered halls bullshit. Just haven't had time to work on them as much as I'd like between radiation and personal issues going on.) We already have people attuned for The Eye almost, who have done the 4 heroics, and we will be starting 25 mans this week or next, something like that. So, it wouldn't be long before I was attuned.

Karazhan's already clear, so no worries there. (2 groups doing Kara, so, easy enough since both groups can clear it)
