Alrighty,
I have good rep with booty bay (i think most do).

I want to go to war with them, {{i am a pet freak, and want to get the bloodsail parrot}} So I need 3000 friendly with bloodsail to get the quest. Now, I know I gotta kill booty bay guards to do this- I am 70, do I really need this rep? My thinking was I would kill the bloodsails over n over again once done with the quest to return the old rep and not be at war with booty bay.

My biggest concern is getting whacked from other players- ya know the ones that guard your body. Now, if I kill a guard, do I go pvp? I think I do. Now if you come and try to kill me while I am in BB killing guards, will the other guards attack you? Just wondering what I have to deal with.

Now, onto the subject of pets...
Black tabby cat- from the dalaran people... has anyone gotten this one?
Hyacinth Macaw- from the bloodsail pirates... anyone gotten this one?
Anywhere for horde to buy bag of seed?
Spirit of Summer, anyone do this during the festival?
Tiny Walking Bomb- anyone see this? I have lil smokey on my gnome eng, but cant get the bomb with my gob eng. I have renewed countless times.
Ozzeling- I hate this pet... it evades me like nothing I have ever encountered. I will get this before I go insane!

As far as killing the guards, you'll either see a PVP icon them or you won't. If you don't see the icon, you won't get flagged. And yes, if someone attacks you, the will get attacked by the guards.

I bought the cards, and the ude cards only had lose7 and gain 2 on them. If you get an ingame prize, will it say it on the card?

Yea, it has a scratch off thing that has a code. You enter the code in on their website and it gives you a code to enter in-game (in Booty Bay). I wonder if Booty Bay rep matters.

I like Bananas and Peddlefeet. I saw a video that showed Willy shooting a lazer out of his eye, but I haven't heard anyone confirm it yet. Here's the video, and if it's real, he moves up to #2 on my "cool pet" list:

hubby got willy, and he does.. if your standing still he will shoot a snake or such around you.

I believe you might lose cartel faction or some such when you kill booty bay guards. I am not positive, but it might have an effect in outland towns like Area 52.

You do. You lose the ability to go into any of the goblin neutral towns. There are 4: Rachet, Booty Bay, Gadgetzan, and Area 52.

This only becomes worthwhile if you are willing to refaction, IMHO. Area 52 is too cool to miss, and you'd lose a shitload of great quests (unless you've completely done them all). I believe you could still repair in Netherstorm though, at the little hub outside the instances. But not 100% what the repair goblin's faction is on. The other vendor there who has reagents is IIRC a human, and probably on a different faction. But the guards right outside are probably Cartel faction...or so I'd guess. Might be Consortium though. (But Area 52 is absolutely goblin cartel faction).

Oops yeah I did. Which is funny since my hunter is a goblin engineer heh. Though I wouldn't be too heartbroken at losing Everlook. Losing Area 52, & Gadgetzan would be the real pain in the ass IMO.

I don't think Area 52 has any faction related to it. I don't remember my quests there giving me any faction hits when they involved the goblins. Just as Toshley's Statin is neutral no matter your reputation with Gnomeregan.

Area 52 and Toshley's Station seem to be completely separate from any faction changes at all for vendors as well. I'm honored with all of the Steamwheedle cartel, but I get no discount there what so ever.

So, if you're passed Azeroth, and in your mid to high 60s, killing Booty Bay guards shouldn't do anything to hinder you in Outland. You might have an annoying time landing in Gadgetzan going to Caverns of Time though.

You land outside of Gadget, though, so I don't think any guards would be in the way. The Griff/Bat handlers are on their own faction, right?

They added two bruisers by the flight point to keep people from camping it. Same faction as the town guards.

Yeah but that's a pain in the ass, at that point you might as well hearth and have 2 ppl summon you back at the stone. Can't summon in any instance unless the person has entered the instance...sooo meeting stone is pretty much it to get them back. Tho I suppose if only one person HAD to repair, they could do it that way, still a bitch tho. Tho you could bind there I guess and save half the flight time.

Anyway, I love pets...but if I *had* to have this parrot, I wouldn't stay bloodsail faction after getting it. Though apparently it may not matter at all in Netherstorm if it's not cartel faction...which it seems it's not. Losing Gadgetzan wouldn't be worth it to me. :\ And I hate factioning as it is. It's a nice cookie for someone willing to faction for it, and thus it should remain pretty rare...as such things should be. It equates to a lot of work.

Oh ok, you worded that funny the first time. It seemed like you were saying if you lost your ability to repair in Area 52 you still could do it at Cosmowrench, not you're still safe if you die a bunch in Arc.

ok, from more reading, area 52 and cosmo are on the same faction- but under our rep bars they arent listed.

So i went to bootybay, plucked off one of the guards but the city entrance, you do not go pvp. 1 kill, my booty bay went down 125 (so all other SWC reps went down half that) and went up 25 in bloodsail.

Then I killed a bloodsail, well this is funny- only some give rep, some dont. On ones with rep, a went down 25 bloodsail, and... you ready... +1 booty bay.

Well, I think the deadmines may be connect to the bloodsail somehow, but now sure, my rep with them is 0... yes 0 hated, I cannot go any lower. To do this quest I have to gain up threw hated, hostile, unfriendly, neutral, and 3000 into friendly. What is that, 2,657,895 booty bay kills?

To go back up afterwards, would be unthinkable. I killed the 3 ships and land camps over n over for an hour, no downtime except running to n from and went up a whole 62 rep with booty bay. It would be near impossible to return faction.

The only way it may of been worth it, is if I never did quests for either faction. The boosts from the turn ins would move you faster back to normal after it was all done. Ahh well, no blood parrot for me.

Apparently restoring rep. is easy though expensive.

He forgot that aftger you hit neutral the quests on the coast of feralas are repeatable with 75 rep per faction turnin bonus. There are 2 quests that you can do simultaneuosly, for 150 rep a shot.

That's in case you want to hit honored with all 4 Steamwheedle Towns.

I'd rather have another First Mates Hat, but the Bloodsail stuff looks cool.

Stumbled on it when I was trying to find out where the fuck Orphan's Week was. I'm glad I did, it's the reason I knew the quests were repeatable this year, so my friends were able to get more pets.

I didn't get a Willy though, and now I'm REALLY sad about it. I do have the original CE, so I have mini diablos or pandas on all my chars. (The zergling sucks).

Eggbert is a unique and beautiful snowflake.

I went with Eggbert on my shadow priest (main) and peanut on my hunter ('cause she's a Draenei and it looks cute). Eggbert annoys the fuck out of people on raids, and for that he is priceless.
