Word, that legendary requires 2 blades to give you the effects. Isn't that asking for too much? For 1 person to have 1 legendary that's cool, but now 2?

Yea, but those were completed at different intervals in progression. This one is asking for 2 legendaries from same mob/quest/zone =/.

The boys and I were talking about this whole thing today. We've come to the conclusion that a GM was present while Illidan was engaged and they dropped that weapon on him as a "Congratulations, You've beat him (now GL on getting the other half, hahahahaha)" drop.

The funny this is that they are completely denying they got it, but the Item ID exists on their server...if you search for it, its a valid item (while the item ID for the offhand will disconnect you)

I was hoping that he would drop both of them, or the quest (if any) would give both of them. That way more of the high-end people could have a chance at it, rather than forcing 2 rare drops on 1 person.

Imagine it like the EQ Warrior's epic. Use 1 huge glaive, or 2 small ones. And, is it just me, or are legendaries mostly for warriors? Rag hammer, thunderfury, ashbringer, now this. I don't believe many lv70 guilds will want to go farm 40 splinters for a lv60 legendary for casters.

Quite honestly, Illidan's Glaives should be Artifact items and only 1 set per server should drop...

I'd love to see the fanbois go rabid over that...

You spend a few months farming the shit out of tank gear to get ready to tank kara and beyond. Not too many classes that are as gear dependent as warriors, so back off!

No but you have to give casters a cookie, because eventually they get tired of busting their ass for warriors and need something to get them to raid x for the nth time.

They gave casters a cookie in Naxx.

Would be interesting to see a Legendary other than a weapon.

Since it only took two weeks after a patch, there is now plenty of time for them to get every one of their melee a set so they can log out with it bagged and naked.

Actually, what G was commenting on is the fact that EU High End Guilds like Nihlium require that all their raiders take off any of the loot they've gotten from the raid instances before they log out or if they aren't in a raid so their armory profile won't show whose wearing what.

If you look at the screenshots on their website, you'll see numerous people who are pretty much half naked or using Deviate Delights/Noggenfoggers...
