Anyone played/playing it ? I'm pretty cemented in RIFT but was curious how expansion was since Velious was always my favorite EQ xpac

Velious was awesome indeed. My favorite EQ expan as well

EQ2 probably makes you pay an extra fee if you want to raid the Velious zones, with the way they are doing things these days.

True but it's probably chump change anyway.

I'm pretty curious how it is as well, honestly. A part of me wants to believe they were able to recreate at least SOME of the epicness that was Velious =/

My understanding is that it's slightly half-baked. Some pure awesome mixed with a large part generic helping of "feh".

During the 12 year anniversary, I ended up going back to Velious and slaying the Fabled was extremely fun! Miss that expansion, Crystallios didnt do The sleeper justice

i like the velious expansion in EQ2 its by far the best one they have released but thats my opinion

Velious was always a great expansion, glad its living up to expectations in EQ2
