Maybe ill resub to get all my chars on the same server again...sure hate having unlimited twink items on 7th and all my new chars on Stromm...

Who is the resident uberguild now. It isn't that one that got the 8 day suspensions for exploiting raid lockouts recently and crying like pussies is it?

According to guildprogress, Township Rebellion on Luclin, and Machin Shin on Xegony. MS is the guild you are referring to though , so ya they're up there in the least.


Not sure how accurate guildprogress is, some guilds stopped updating (for now). Could have swore Realm of Insanity was up there too, but it looks like they're not updating.

Diligence isn't updating either as far as I know.

Will be interesting come server merge though. Public raiding looks to be the furthest along on Tunare, from what I hear their rules are extremely strict. The rest of the server look to have 1 guild each at about same spot as Dili, LU, OD. Least what hearsay tells me.

hey so its a free full account server transfer? I can move all 8 of my chars on stromm to any server for free? and i have 1 73 beastlord id like to keep on 7th hammer if i bring all my 8 from stromm, could i still have the hidden 9th character that is off screen transferred singlely by paying to another server so i dont have to delete one, or maybe only transfer 7 of my 8 off stromm? and also where is everyone playing server choice? i see stromm is merging with luclin is that a great server to stay on or should i go back to 7th and tunare now? where ya all at and whats up!!!!!

Triality from Maelin server was the guild that exploited lockouts and got banned for 7 days, although later it was reduced to 3 days. Supposedly other guilds have done what they did (i.e. bring raid mob to 0%, mains drop task and add alts, then kill raid mob and loot before 2-3 minute window expires on mains... doing so gives alts the lockout and mains can re-do raid mob again) but Triality was the one that was banned.

From what I see. They keep consolidating servers drastically but only adding one service new.

Sure it does. Understanding your point is one thing, but observing such a catastrophic disregard for punctuation such as yours is generally a sign that the opinion of said poster merits as much weight and consideration as a turnip. While this is not always the case it is frequently so.

You would be surprised as to how many ex-Lanys players are still playing Everquest, at least on Seventh server. Far more than the amount who post on these boards. In fact, I would venture to say (no offense to anyone) that these boards are far far closer to "death" than Everquest is...

yeah some servers were a bit low on players but you were still able to find groups at higher lvls to do things. Way i see it is that with the servers getting a "fresh breath" of "new blood" it could help things out alot. May get some older players to come back and play again. The games really not that bad, only problem is if the players have patience.

Leveling is quick and easy but lots of guilds still want you to have fuck tons of AA and some groups require you to have zone access and shit. I dont really see the game ending THAT soon lol.

Holy moly they are adding two flavors of DPS mercs. If they pump out more than the tank merc does, Jesus Christ the game really became /afk to glory. This is glorious news.

Oh and something about more inventory space/bigger bags. I have had the same set of Bag of the Tinkerers for over a decade and used them on more than a dozen characters. Wow.

EDIT: Ok I lied. I recognize seven of them and only one because of EQ2.

The big rumor is that a lot of people are going to transfer to Maelin server once the servers merge. Take it for what it is worth.

I am undecided if I am going to be leaving Seventh or not. Unfortunately a lot of raiders don't know about how much DPS a magician does in raids, because they have the tunnel vision of rogue/wizard/berserker in their mind. So most guilds aren't recruiting magicians... which makes it difficult. I might go to a server and see what the fall out is, but again still undecided.

My preference is to stay with my current guild. However we are in a serious fail performance right now- it is really sad how far we have fallen

If you are referring to the Maelin transfer, I don't know. I did transfer off of Seventh/Tunare... one thing I will say is that this merger did bring a lot more people in contact with each other (obviously). Guilds are able to add lots more bodies to their raid roster, lot more groups are happening, zones aren't as completely dead at the 85 game anymore... seems like a win/win for most, if not all.

The biggest issue I am hearing is that there are no enchanters around. Anywhere. And that is what every guild seems to need. Go figure...

Well I stayed on Stromm after all. The merge with luclin seem to have worked good. A lot of people online and bazaar prices are good (to buy) for the most part. Thats a plus for me because I am a bit behind in gear =)

So they nerfed Mayong into a normal server, which means now you can xfer to and from it, and also FV and Zek are in for some big changes as well.


Next few months should be interesting, but it's scary going to server select and seeing only a little handful of servers to choose from.

My Everquest theory:

They're cutting servers to reduce upkeep/maintenance costs, to free up some money to help fund Everquest 3 (aka Everquest Next).

I'm taking an EQII break, especially after the GU57 weirdness, and playing a bit on EQMac which is surprisingly fun. It reminds me a lot of old Lanys. Pretty nice the game has been preserved at PoP. Pretty interesting so far.... Also, what is this new server Trakanon I heard about.....?
