As part of MTV's interview, Smedley also hinted that the developer is working on a new installment in its flagship EverQuest franchise. "It's pretty safe to say that EverQuest has not seen its last game," teased Smedley. "So we've got our own cards to play there, and I think we will play them at the right time. But the quality level will be something that people will be very happy with."

EQOA II please :) The game was great, and even had new quests and content without a Hard Drive for storage. With the PS3, its going to be much better because SOE won't be limited to a small amount of space for downloads.

I'm looking forward to the next major MMO on a console system.

EQ Legends I think its going to be...

Seeds of Desruction has been overall pretty good expansion, it really tied all the lore together form the past what 6 expansions.. really amazing lore now.

Only thing I don't like is the factioning that has to happen. Factioning is bad enough, but one of my friends was saying that he had to do 20 pre-requisite missions just to be able to start doing the actual progression missions for the theme (I think it was Field of Scale theme). That is just insane... as if MMO's were time sinks to begin with, now to do all this stuff is borderline second job. Almost makes you want to say "No thanks".

Other than that, the expansion is really cool. Of course, the factioning is a major part of it, so that takes some luster away...

You're only about 5 years late on that comment. EQ was a borderline second job long before this.

Did they ever change this? It seems like I read something about this but do not remember. Still have to camp the shards?

Yeah, Vex Thal (like many other areas) are now just level-restricted.

Hell, you can walk into Plane of Time these days, as long as you're over 70+.

Vex Thall you just need the second key for the other room thing.

They will be releasing TSS for its requirements soon.
