My biggest kill was Ptav M'Sha in Qvic. That was relatively easy, but at the end became slightly harrowing.

I tried to duo Ssra Emperor and Veltikorin... managed to get Veltikorin down to like 52% before rampage and aggro killed the healer, which then managed to take care of me. Ssra Emperor was one I always wanted (damn that horse), but never got.

I am retired (again), and will probably come back (again), and try out some new stuff. I know magicians have soloed a ton of stuff, and with the new pet and Crystallos pet focus I can do a lot of that stuff as well.

BTW the best geared magician cleared out the entire Bertox event, as well as Terris Thule. Wow.

AoW I can do Just did'nt have the time when I Killed Statue, but to add I did now kill Derakor the Vindicator Solo with a buffed Giant Pet.

Not one grouped, soloed. All except Vulak I believe and that may have been done as well.

Yeah before I left I solo'ed .... crap, forgot his name. The ToV dragon to the right, once you get past the first door. He was the one that you killed if you were not KoS to the entrance mobs. Was in East Halls, I think it is called Halls of Testing or something. Sigh... anyways yeah I solo'ed him and the first couple as well. Wanted to try Aaryonar, but I failed to position myself correctly and got destroyed by three adds heh.

O and one of the magicians on another server solo'ed Fennin Ro. Although I honestly don't think that PoEarthB can be grouped, even with all the gear and stuff today. I could be wrong, but that just seems very tough for one group...

I'm trying to think of other mobs I would love to see solo'd. I would love to see Rallos Zek done. Possible? I can't see how that event would work out with the other Zek's and so forth. It's been so long I can hardly remember.

If people are doing and Bertox and Fennin, I guess it would be just as easy.

People solo Bertox? Didn't he have a bunch of adds and stuff leading up to him?

when you can out regen two mobs who is worried about the adds, just need to slay the bosses in certain time frame.

Anyways, like CC I think I'm almost semi-retired again.
EQ is fast loosing the fun factor for me, but perhaps that's in large part due to my semi-static group falling apart (one guy is working on his PhD, and the other has been busy).
Soloing is boring as hell for conquering old-world stuff like what was mentioned above; and raids I haven't the time/energy for these days.

That is it! Dozekar the Cursed. Took care of his two adds at the same time as well, woo.

Before I "retired" I finally had found Trakanon up as I was soloing with my monk. So I logged on my magician and went up there. Pulled protector and like 5 adds, no big deal. Then was walking up and must have aggro'ed Trakanon.. so pet started to attack and it was fine. I get banished to shrooms, take care of them by myself. I still see pet killing, I sit down to try and get aggro to get back up there... nothing. Slightly worried cause did not know what was going on. So I ran back (was still cleared thankfully), and halfway there... I see my pet coming back to me. LOL. Pet took care of Trakanon all by itself without a single heal or DD spell from myself. I know it is 10 expansions old, but still just laughed.

There was also one of the raid MPG trials that was solo'ed by a magician as well. Forgot which one. I know that I duo'ed Burrower Beast and THO with Denbas, but it was such an insane joke that I can easily solo it on my own. Would have liked to try one of the PoPower gods before I left- I know that the following have all been solo'ed by mages on other servers-

I guess if I don't come back, I have a Qvic named that I can claim. Joy.

O and I think someone got Avatar of War as well, although if I can kill Vindi and Rallos then I am sure it is not that difficult to do since I am not as geared as other magicians...

AoW was coloed a long time ago by a ranger, he is not a problem these days at all.

IMO, SK's are the best raid mob soloing machines, mages have to spend too much time clearing trash usually.

So, necro's aren't the most well known solo class anymore, or none have posted here?

Necromancers are still the best solo class against non-summoning, snareable XP/AAXP mobs. I think this thread is talking about former raid named mobs, and other classes do better than necromancers at that.

Necros were always smarter than Mages so most of us quit and never looked back.

I don't think it is so much that they buffed mages to be powerful, but more than everyone quit playing that shit game so they became number 1 by default.

I just went to Trialitys' web site, and saw that some necro has 27k hp, nearly the same mana, and like 3k AC. With stats like that I would have sat my happy ass in Akanon, and you motherfuckers would have raided me!

How many epics are there now? I got to 1.5. So like what 4 ?......

2.5 now same epic just get a invisible augment for it.

Well it gives a lot of bonus stats but its hard to get.. need to go to the Demiplane of Blood and farm crap for 4 hours with a raid of 30+

1.5 is the easy part of 2.0

2.5 is just a super aug for your 2.0, they have been nullified now with the new expansions for anyone wondering if they were still the shit. Their clickable effects however warrant keeping them bagged.

My cleric soloed all the way up to vindi and soloed vindi. It was a bit of touch and go but in the end I did win.

Potions helped me win.. just kept myself Healed over timed and a Trooper pounding him from the rear lol

I got a program from a friend while I was out in Iraq that allowed you to "ghostkill" mob's in Everquest. You could basically stand anywhere in a zone and it makes you appear in another spot then jump back to your original spot about 1000 times a second. In doing that you could macro your attacks to attack at lighting speed (another program) and attack and kill anything from anywhere in the zone….providing it didn’t have a damage shield or a non-aggro super heal rate. Kinda made Everquest trivial real quickly….it still felt good though and kinda neat to gear up level one characters with no level limit gear from VT or ToV.

I was living a dream that I had in 1999 and 2000 (after Kunark was released) to be able to kill everything with out needing a raid party…man I had no life back then for that to be my dream.

A magician solo'ed Rikkukin, that DoN dragon.

Yes, the one that as of a year or so ago required a decent sized raid to defeat. It has now been solo'ed by a magician.

You can go to the mage boards if you want. Pictures, video is up. Amazing.
