I wonder if any part of Draagun is floating around in EQ land in an EE... maybe in some bank vault to a character that hasn't been played in years....

They sac'd me to 46 then deleted me - when I asked why, they said the pile of dead bodies was lagging everybody that got close to them.

Aw that's depressing. :( But the first thought is kinda a neat thought, too bad the EE's didn't have a name attached to them or something that would've been kinda cool.

Yea EE's are still used, just rarely. With Guild lobby summons and everyone's boxed cleric parked there, there's no need. Unless you manage to be last one standing on a raid. And even then, omg guild lobby summon!

a. The Guild Lobby is accessible to anyone, even those not in a guild, as long as they own the expansion. Using the altar in the Guild Lobby you can summon your corpse from anywhere in Norrath, however, there is a cost associated with summoning your corpse, dependent on your level.

There was a bug in EverQuest that let you cast spells through res, so I would always try to run back and get off a free kei/voq and have clarity without having to wait til I regenned 2000 mana or use gift of mana. I could get everyone in the group with it too, it just was one of the plays in my elite enchanter handbook that I could pull off.

I bet that bug still exists, and probably the one where you can swim up walls/trees if your nose sticks out far enough too.

It would make sense if the guild lobby summons cost a EE

It costs 275 plat to summon a lvl 75 corpse to the Guild Lobby, so it is not that cheap. Of course, mobs nowadays are dropping 30 plat in some zones, along with vendor trash that sells for up to 80 plat... so people mostly have money. Heck, I actually have over 200k plat in my bank which is something I never had before I returned.

I do wonder how much it is going to cost for levels 76-80 though to summon a corpse. I would venture maybe 400-500 plat or so...

Well, I mean, I'm sure people who have been playing a while have plat stockpiled... I mean what else are you going to spend plat on in EQ?

It is a different game than when you played... many different things of plat necessities. Heck, augment removers for the higher end augments cost like 4k just to remove an aug. Some armor stuff costs as much as 200k just to attempt and make the armor... and this is higher end armor too. So you just don't get plat and it stays in your bank forever, you can use it on stuff.

Hell, back in the day (PoF/PoH opening) we required GM intervention to avoid losing all of our corpses. For PoH we were basically told that we should have a complete set of backup equipment in the bank to re-break and they wouldn't help us until we lost both (which was often).

It is good to see they removed that 3-4 hour time sink.

Yes EEs are still used... They have a spell where if you get the kill shot on a npc, you get a chance at creating an EE....

Well, ive never seen created one that way(i think the rate is less than 1pct). And im still out of EEs, and they run 1-2k in bazaar now.

Plus You cant sac anyone above level 70?(i think its 70).

The base price of the summon(which only summons all corpses that you have in EQ) in guild lobby is ~330p. You still need a rez. And you still need to get back to the zone you were in.

But now that shamans and druids have a no xp rez, that can be re-rezzed by cleric, if you have one of those in group, no need for EE...

Re-breaking the fear entrance in back-up gear was the reason I played EQ.

I remember being a part of a group that came in a helped a failed fear raid rebreak and get back on their feet a couple times. Those were fun times. I was also thinking the other day how often other people helped me with something that offered them really no personal reward, and the times I did the same. The one that comes to mind was a group of folks that waited with me for my cleric epic mob to spawn in Naggy's lair.
