I will be getting it.

I can't decide on what class I want my new Fae to be. Warlock or Coercer maybe.

EQ2 is such a good game but they are really hurting themselves in the long run with this expansion I think. I believe this will hold people on the PvE servers over for a few months but to the PvP it's worthless. Things are still terribly unbalanced, low populated, and all the Qeynos people hide in instances while FP's run around countless hours to find someone to kill. The most fun I have found is to reroll a character, turn off exp at 35 and PvP in ANT, TS, and CL.

I think the expansion is cool... looking forward to seeing a lot of new stuff but I think i'll just end up on WoW or VG unfortunately. For some reason PvE just seems so easy ever sense the PvP on EQ2 and now I have been playing WoW. Anyone can grab a group and go to KoS and level to 60 in EQ2 in very little time and the high-end stuff is too simple.

Just my soapbox... sorry.

Take care,
Muli

And it is not easy to level up in WoW? That wasn't a soapbox you were on, that was a WoW bandwagon.

I leveled in WoW to 60 in 2.5 months.
EQ2 is taking me 3.5 months to level to 70.
You can get to 40 really quickly buying collection quest items, of course you need a buddy in game with a lot of plat.

I find EQ2 to be a better game. Maybe I enjoy
- the lower number of fucktards than WoW
- Quest system is rather good
- Crafting is tedious like most, but sells well
- all the old EQ1 nostalgia
- not every fucking thing is instanced, so the small thrill of competing

Don't get me wrong, I liked WoW for 6 months, and enjoy how it keeps SOE from being the total bastards they want to be, and "trying" to compete has made them more receptive.

I bought the digital download of EoF, to play when it goes live.

Let's be honest though, the game itself will get you to play a couple months, but it's the friends that will keep you playing, so where ever you have your buddies, that's the game you'll be in.

What's your point, Neesha? No one said otherwise.

There has to be something to play during this WoW lull period.

Think i'll try Ultima Online again.

It's a pretty neat expansion, especially if you are leveling up in it on your first toon.

Sucks shit that all these 70s are running through crushbone killing grey con named for nothing. So much discovery that we're missing out on on our appropriate leveled characters there.

On Butcherblock, Team Bro is the only group running that place in the level range to check it out fully. we hit a HUGE cockblock in the throne room tho. Behind a movable wall there are 3 packs of mobs too close to one another, so you get 3 ^^^ and 3 ^^ mobs divided between 3 packs. And when they have 3 levels on you, there is no hope even with the optimal group setup with Guardian, Coacer, Assassian, Fury, Defiler and Dirge. So we're gonna level up and hopfully get some server firsts on D'vinn.

We killed D'vinn and it was a cool encounter, he does a shadow step with copies that attack you, ala old console game end bosses.

Mistmoore looks like it would be a cool raid zone.

Got a 22 Fury alt, and going to level him up to 70 on EoF content.
Still raiding with my 70 Brigand.

EoF was definetely a big plus for EQ2. The server population feels a little low to me however and it's difficult to get people to do too much. The PvP servers are the most fun but as I said, it's slim pickins.
