Dumping cat in wheelie bin was 'misjudgement', culprit Mary Bale claims
The bank worker at the centre of a hate campaign after throwing a cat into a wheelie bin has blamed her actions on a “split second of misjudgement”.

Watching that enrages me; I can only hope that she's at the very least fired from her job.

Seeing how the cat didn't get hurt at all and probably doesn't remember he was ever in a trashcan, I think the current torrent of reporters, dead threats, and all these other acts of stress inducing attention that this lady is getting are enough punishment for what she did. ;)

Doesn't remember - based on what? Where is the line drawn with respect to the stress I can place on an animal and not have it affect it?

And so the cat didn't get hurt; what about the scenario where the couple doesn't hear the cries of the animal? Pretty sure the garbage truck equals death and nobody would be the wiser without the camera having been there - obviously what the individual was counting on.

A baby wouldn't remember either, that doesn't make it okay. Yes there is a difference between a cat and a baby, but it's possible that someone would have loved that cat like a child. You just don't throw animals in the garbage...what she did was just ridiculous.

I would bet this wasn't her 1st time doing something like this (and I doubt it will be the last). Something isn't working quite right above the shoulders for that to be done even 1x.

I wouldn't call her a psychopath. I think there are people much worse than her who deserve that title.

I would call her an asshole.

Woman caught on TV hurling cat in trash

Aug. 24, 2010 07:05 AM
Associated Press

LONDON - British animal cruelty inspectors say they
have tracked down a woman caught on
closed-circuit TV hurling a cat into a
garbage can.

Video footage captured by the cat owner's
personal surveillance camera - and seen by
thousands after it was posted online - shows
a woman stroking 4-year-old Lola before
grabbing the pet by the neck and dumping it
into the trash.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of
Cruelty to Animals , which investigates and prosecutes cruelty
cases, said Tuesday it has identified the
woman and plans to interview her. Police say
they are aiding the inquiry.

Lola spent 15 hours inside the garbage can
before she was rescued.

The RSPCA declined to say whether the
woman had been tracked down by a viewer
who'd seen the footage online.

I just think based on what she did, and what happened, she's getting just the right amount of punishment. That's all. I also don't care much of what could have happened but did not happen. :P

Thats just in very poor taste no matter how you spin it. She petted the cat and then put it in the garbage... I want to throw her in the garbage!
