The Wii Fit craze may be a bit overblown. I enjoy the games, but hardly feel like I'm getting a killer work-out. Although - the balancing stuff is actually good if you're rehabbing a problem ankle like I am.
I really only bought Wii Fit for the balance board to play Punch Out, and I'm glad i did. It might not be the world's greatest cardio, but I'm loving it.
First, the game is fun. Second, practicing body control is always good. Third, I have begun experimenting with 5 pound wrist weights, and it is a bit of a bear. Maybe I'm more out of shape than I want to admit.
I finally beat Don Flamenco, and although I wasn't exhausted, I had a nice little lather worked up and my arms were fatigued from the weights.
Anyway, I highly recommend it if you get a chance.
