Deep in my family photo albums there are some nice pictures of me taking a shit and bathing (not at the same time) when I was about 2-3. I know a lot of people my age have similar pictures lurking around.

I was wondering, do parents still do this? I always hated "those pictures" whenever we would come to them in the photo album.

Anyway, I am scanning in all my albums to digital and it just got me wondering if new parents do that still. I know there are a lot of younger parents on this forum.

I dunno, I think for me, it will be one of those things my parents did that I won't ever do.

My mom had one of me in the tub that she absolutely loved showing any female friend I happened to bring over. I think I was maybe 3 when the photo was taken.

My wife and I haven't taken any similar photos of our daughters. I can't imagine why we'd want them.

I dunno...I didn't take pics of my daughter to embarrass her later in life...rather to photograph her innocence for a memory. She doesn't care that she's naked. She's just a kid...happy, full of life, and doesn't care.

Exactly. We have shots of our son like that. Granted, he's only 4 months old. He's happy and enjoying everything around him. I like to see that and keep record of his joy.

Bath time was a lot of fun in my family and I can still remember having a lot of fun with it around 4 and 5 years old.

I can't recall if my parents have pictures of me and my sibs in the tub, but there's a shitload of pictures of me in a wading pool outside where I'm naked or almost naked. Because if the kid is a toddler it's no big deal to let them play nekkid in the wading pool. I'm there with other nekkid toddlers too in the apartment complex.

Kids like being naked when it's comfortable to be so, and people that get all freaky about it...kinda worry me a little honestly.

Plus baby butt is SO damned adorable

My mom went to drag her photo albums out to embarrass me around my college buddies with similar photos. She opened the book and discovered that a pre-teen me had foreseen just such an event, removed every embarrassing picture from the albums, and burned them.

She did get me back though. I missed one that was someplace I'd never have thought to find it. She showed up at possibly one of my proudest moments in college wearing a t-shirt with that picture on it. I could have died.
