Wow, jumping in late to this one. Couple of conclusions.

1) Tarot, there is absolutely no reason why someone would have to report Skyscrasher - his posts are well known to all. I've seen you defend his posts in the past, specifically when Kula pointed out that he hoped she got raped. If the guy hasn't been banned by now, there literally is NO line that can't be crossed.

2) I've been on the board for a very long time, and I recall specifically that using language such as fag, nigger, etc., etc., is specifically forbidden. I've pointed out how offensive the guy is in the past, and I'm not gonna send Tarot a fucking PM. Do I need to call 911 when someone is shooting people right in front of a police officer to get him/her to do something?

Sorry, post was not meant to be "how to be nice." It was asking a question about what his motivation was. I understand most people's motivations. I don't get his. That's all.

That *may* have been true in the General Forum at some point, but when has it ever been true in R&R or the Current Events forum?

I've always liked the (relative) lack of moderation on these forums-- it's a nice break from the super moderated stuff I see in some other places (Ogame forums, I'm looking at you!). A word like "fag," while offensive to me, is a small price to pay.

Go find the app, and ignore Skycrasher. Problem solved for you. Personally, I'm fine with it, even though I find that word offensive too, if that makes any sense.

My memory is a little fuzzy on when Skycrasher said he hoped someone got raped, but I remember it vaguely. Assuming he said it in those terms, that's pretty fucked up. I don't think that should be moderated either, but that's a serious case of assholery. Personally I think a line is crossed when you either make a real life threat, or divulge personal information. That's when you step beyond mere words on an internet forum. I hate any racist, anti-gay, sexist shit as much as the next dude, but it's stupid to moderate.

I get it also. I think Sky works very hard to make it look like he doesn't care about acceptance on an internet board and indifference is the new hip thing. He obviously has a hard time keeping in character with his personality flip flops though. I don’t put him on ignore because it’s not a big deal to read things, it helps put other people’s replies into perspective (I hate reading replies and not knowing what they are referring to), and if anyone is due for a really interesting post, it’s him. Someday he’ll get to the point in his life when he has enough self confidence to be able to admit he wants to be liked. His whole schtick isn't really that uncommon, he just takes it to more extremes than most.

This thread is full of half truths and innuendos.
