All of you that didn't mention where you live must be on the west coast. I've lived on the east coast all my life, and I've never seen a celebrity that wasn't on the other side of a screen.

What Cheeken said.

I'll wager I've never even come within a mile of anyone that could be considered even marginally famous.

I drank a beer with Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit in Atlanta, Georgia. One's dead and the other killed his family.

Good times.

I live pretty close to Dave Chappell. If I ever see him, I will let you know.

I have never really interacted with any celebrity... I probably wouldn't recognize them unless they looked exactly like they did in the last movie/video/tv show I seen them in. I'm pretty bad with faces.

Speaking of faces.. I guess the only "kinda" celebrity interaction I had was when Rebecca Wild sat on my face and retrieved a dollar bill at a strip club in Austin.

It seemed pretty cool at the time, but now that I'm older it kinda skeeves me out.

I helped Billy Joel buy some books when he came into the book store I worked at outside of high school. He was ok.

When I was doing an internship with the Iowa Film Office, I got asked to show Anthony Michael Hall a "good time" in Des Moines, IA, which pretty much consisted of a single bar to pick up chicks.

I knew the guy that signed Barenaked Ladies to their label, so he got me backstage tickets to their stuff.

I've talked with Stephen King and Ray Bradbury over the phone. One was intentional (SK), the other accidental (RB). Ray was cool and gave me some really good advice.

I think that is it. I don't really get star struck, I recognize that they are just people. Although there are a few celebs that would do it to me if I ran into them.

I missed going to a margarita pool party at Drew Barrymore's by *this* much (I flew back to Texas and the next day my friends I was staying with got the invite). Still irritated by that. heh.

I'm so impressed you knew who he was. I didn't recognize the name even. And if I had recalled it (which I totally didn't, and couldn't even tell you what the guy wrote offhand tho I might recognize if I looked it up..maaaaybe) I sure as shit wouldn't know what the guy looked like.

So sad that I can recognize someone from a Cheetos commercial but could literally walk by someone like that and be clueless. So good for you!

PS: ZOMG PLEASE WRITE UP YOUR CHINA TRIP. In return I'll post some (imo cool) stuff my dad told me about going to obscure non tourist areas of China back in the late 80s for the company he worked for.
