People who watch movies with the intent to review are obviously disturbed. This whole "playing eq" thing simply confirms it. Traab "Love Machine" Fellhammer<

Now, now, I stand by what I said about the Hulk at the time. When it came out, it was the best comic book movie available. Now, of course, that's no longer the case, but do you mean to tell me "Apocalypse Now" would have been less effective in a time of peace?<

Today I'd probably downgrade it to a 3.5, but it was still infinitely superior to X2.

Binkee's other reviews make up for it =D But I'll agree it was a little better than the rest of the comic book movies.

No way, did you ever see his sprawling, overproduced and altogether unnecessary adaptation of "Sense and Sensibility?"<

If I had my way, everything Jane Austen ever did would be stricken from history, so we wouldn't have talented directors like Lee wasting their time with that crap.

Nah. Just because I love Jane Austen, doesn't mean that everyone is capable of appreciating her.

well yeah in following years they had to go and make good movies based on comic books and totally fuck that up, but i've seen x2 like 3 times since and i still contend that it's quite bad

I think this thread existed before we had the Arts & Entertainment forum.

Say what you will about "X2", I would insist that the first Hulk movie was never anything but a waste of celluloid. ;)

I didn't hate the first Hulk movie really. There were some aspects of it that I thought were kind of cool. Some that were horrible as well, but such is life.

X2 had the Nightcrawler fight scene. I don't remember a damn thing else about that movie. Completely forgettable.

I still dunno why people hated on X2 so much. It did what it was supposed to do, it wasn't supposed to be some dramatic masterpiece or a stunning accomplishment in character development.

It's a bunch of guys with super-powers running around fighting. What more did you expect?
