Starbucks is raising their prices at the end of this month so to get a jump on all you fanatical Bush haters I figured I get you started. Fucking Bush, I can't believe he would let this happen, he needs to be impeached and thrown in jail. What a crock of shit, he is the C&C for Christ sakes, can't he force them to keep their prices down!!!! |

Starbuck's coffee tastes like shit anyway...and there are far too many people who don't have any taste and think their coffee is good. Plus, I always love to give people shit who bugged me about spending $5.00 on a pack of smokes a day (before I quit) by saying "Exactly how much does your coffee cost you AND how many do you drink a day?". |

I don't drink it either. My neighbor owns a coffee shop and imports and roasts his own beans on site. Not to mention I get it for free... |

That's rather surprising since I had read that Starbucks was getting it's ass handed to them by Dunkin Donuts and McDonalds. StarBucks coffee is lousy. Seattles Best AND Caribou (not found in the Southeast) are both better. I've always preferred local coffee shops anyway. The only time I get Starbucks anymore is when I'm on the road and the company pays for it. |

We got a 20$ starbucks card for xmas last year - I had some sorta frapalattechino thing with java chips or something (coffee grounds?) - Anyhoo that was good - not $6.00 good or whatever they are.. but still good. One of my biggest problems with start bucks is making caffeine so accessible and trendy to kids. For example, in Colorado Springs there is a high school downtown - its about 2 blocks from starbucks. At lunch the kids just pour in there. Caffeine is a pretty heafty stimulant - it can't be good for a developing nervous systems. won't somebody think of the children? |

If I ever feel "in the mood" for to-go coffee (as I call it), which isn't often, there is a place called Bigfoot Espresso down the street...and even then I normally get some kind of blended mocha. I was watching Alton Brown on his Fried Chicken episode with the missus, and she was genuinely freaked out by the idea of fried chicken on a waffle with dark amber syrup. I'll have to take her on a trip to Atlanta. =) |

Yeah, most kids like their coffee black. The calorie content of some of those starbucks drinks is nearly 5x that of a 12oz pepsi. I know that drink I had was more like a milkshake than a coffee. You can't compare a pepsi to a starbucks drink... Now you can compare a 6 pack of pepsi to one starbucks drink - thats fair. Or even starbucks and one of those "energy drinks" - those are comparable as well. Pepsi though? Not even close. |

I miss them  There isn't a decent coffee place in the tri cities so I've had to settle for starbucks, but mostly I just make my own now because starbucks sucks so tremendously.

Agree - up here, Starsucks charges $.75 to $1.00 more for a piece-of-crap 20 oz Americano than any of the coffee shacks that use one of the higher-quality local roasters.
