So FFXIV launched early on Saturday. Even after multiple betas, etc, the servers were plagued with stability and login issues. Fast forward to Tuesday and you basically cannot even log in to a US or EU based server in prime time. No queues, just a silly message about the world being full... for 4 straight hours. How can game companies be so bad at launching new games? Is it really that hard to sit down and say "ok so we have 1 million pre-orders... we are going to need more servers". It's just amazing that all game launches have so much trouble. |

RIFT had the smoothest game launch that i've ever seen. if I had time or much more interest in playing any games atm I'd be playing it again |

RIFT definitely had a smooth launch. I should have included that as a disclaimer in the original post. I'd be back in RIFT as well, but just wanted something to play semi casually from the launch of the game. |
