Just wondering if anyone knows account info for Rydius (11/4/08) or Lucybell (7/16/06) (date last on)? Not sure if those are alts of Solanthious or someone he made leader. There are also no designated officers. A few former Oryx have shown up in game since Free to Play went live. It would be nice to be able to re-tag them on new toons or alts just to keep the name around.

After I came back a year and half ago, I kept my shaman, Larb, tagged to keep the Goat name out there. Still get an occasional tell from random Lanys players.

If any one knows account info or can log them in and promote Larb to officer please do so. Hell, I even got Intin to log in to promote my ranger that was still tagged <Aphelion> to an officer.

Have you done a /petition see if a GM will assign one of you as a officer?

GMs usually wont change the guild leader but I've seen them assign someone as a officer for old guilds.

Rydius was the original leader of Oryx. Think Sola took over when Rydius quit or something along those lines.

I hadn't thought of petitioning. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll give it a try. Not trying to resurrect the guild on anything, just want to give anyone returning with FTP a place to make contact with old friends or hangout. Plus having access to guild hall portals can be handy too.

Well SOE being there usual Asshated selves, keep feeding me the by the book line of shit. Will not just promote me to officer. Either I find the existing leader or reform the guild. You'd think the fuckers would be willing to assist with stuff that might actually encourage a returning player to stick around for more than 10 minutes.

I think I might still have Rydius' phone number written down. I'll see if I can get ahold of him and let him know you're looking for him.

Vexana was on yesterday. She said she may know who the toon Lucybell belongs too and can contact them. Also, I was wrong about how reforming the guild works. I was told by a GM you do not loose the old roster so that my be what we do then.

Was pretty fun raiding with Oryx.

Ranger come back! You should drop in for a visit. A few weeks ago I was able to find the remnants of Ranger Mafia boards. Interesting to see some of those old Ranger names.

I logged into eq a few years ago, just could not handle the old style user interface, seemed awkward as hell, don't even know how I managed to play that game for 5 years.

Lol..yeah did something very similar myself when the "come back to norrath" summer thing was going on a few years ago. I wandered around a bit, got lost, got bored, and kept trying to make the UI work like WoW's. Logged off. I tried to come back to check out EQII when the free to play thing came about but it's like my routers firewall blocks everything EQ by default.

The interface is still a bit dated but some of the enhancements they have added recently past two expansions has been great. Ill post a screen shot sometime tonight.

The interface isn't so bad these days. It's a little awkward for a day or so but you compensate quickly. I think the best thing they did was change up the default movement controls to wasd. I remembering resubscribing a couple years ago and having the remap them in order to do anything. I just couldn't go back to arrow key movement
