Both F13 and FOH have threads on the war. I enjoy keeping up with Eve news. It's more entertaining than the game.

Now that BoB changed to KenZoku I have a hard time placing it when they're referred to as Kennies now. Or Ken and Barbie, though I haven't caught who Barbie is yet.

Interesting. Taking down BoB has been their main goal for a while. Wondering what will happen next.

Destorying Kenzoku, I imagine. Once they finally chase off all the BoB remnants, and then kick a few corps while they're down, shit will get boring and they'll either stop logging in or reset factions or some shit. Goons only stick around if there's fun shit to do and a null sec naptrain ain't on their list of fun shit to do.

So how do you go about destroying a faction in EVE? Or did the other side just quit in the end or something?

Taking their sov space, raiding their corporate assets with double agents, etc. Scams, fraud, and embezzlement within the bounds of the game are totally legit in Eve.

Basically you reduce their ability to make credits so their production base defects to a corporation that can give them a better deal. It takes a lot of money and logistics to keep bases running.

Ah, so you really can just destroy someone...interesting.

I wasn't sure if it was Shadowbane-style (Really can destroy things) or WoW-style (No one really wins until someone just gets bored and leaves.)

Some of the EvE shit you hear gets intense. People have taken their spaceship dramaz into real life. It's sad and funny at the same time.

yep-- I don't play EVE atm, but I do enjoy reading their drama. There are really almost no "play nice" rules, and you have the ability in the game to destroy players pretty extensively. The ability to control space and make life hell for people combined with a huge universe to play in... man if I had more time I'd be playing.

The drama is excellent!

For a lot of people it's more fun to read about than it is to actually play. I started a trial account to play around with. I don't have the time to play it either, but I do enjoy listening to the newb corp chatter. Since this last expansion was so publicized, some of the veterans are feeling overwhelmed by the faggotry of leet pvp kiddies thinking EvE is more of the same.

And the 24 hour skill queue is fucking awesome.

I started playing it a while back off and on, I don't toss too much time into the game but I find it has a good return for the amount I invest. Progression or "leveling up" is completely time based so you really don't have to worry about XPing aside from getting your factions and wallet up.

Definately some fun drama in the game too, pirate corporations are some of the most immature and entertaining folks around.

It's a fun game to play casually; and it's pretty close to what an open PvP game should be like. Piracy takes little time/effort if you find a gang of 3-4 people. No more than two weeks of skill training is required.

Well, I started playing again because of the new expansion. Forgot that it'd been six months since I last played (and I hadn't played long at that point anyways) and my insurance on my nifty Hurricane had run out.

Kaboom.

So yeah... back to riding around in a freakin' Rifter. *sigh*
