That's because you couldn't compete against other guilds in potime. If there was nothing up for your instance then there was no reason to go there. At the same time, someone else could have a fully spawned instance full of loot. Taking turns was the only real solution with the way it was coded. You could still get the maximum amount of loot per week from the zone without having to fuck around with logging in early to claim the zone.

The competition was all at the elemental level, gearing up and getting flags (mainly coirnav).
