Does vanguard have either?
I haven't played since an early beta, and it occurred to me that I like the customization that WoW offers quite a bit. (Additionally, anyone remember the guild chat bots you could run for Anarchy Online?)

Can anyone illuminate me?

Youn can customize just about everything in VG like in WoW.

I found an UI that is simply fantastic. Its called DroxUI and can be downloaded http://www.gods-of-war.net/DroxUI.zip.

Download it and follow the instrux in the .txt file that comes with it.

I haven't gotten to play it yet so I could be way off, but I still can't get over how much like EQ2 those (and other) screenshots look.

All i have to say is if you haven't seen it first hand live action on full settings its really hard to get a good idea what its like.

It blows the living shit out of anything out todate that I have seen and I typically dont give a shit about graphics yet i find myself pausing and just looking around. Hell ive always been a closet gamer since all my RL friends aren't exactly people that play games but i even show some of them its so impressive. Then they laugh at my robes a fight insues

Use vests not robes =P Robes in Vanguard are hideous. Vests > everything.

I will give them prop's on weapon looks though, I got the ageless staff and its like half staff with a big spear at the end.

I've actually grouped with Parmon on Hilsbury and he's a pretty good player as well. Hilsbury is a veritable who's who of the big boys =p

Also in regard it being like EQ2, it certainly looks like that from the screenshots but it plays quite a bit differently in my opinion. I got bored of EQ2 within the first few days, but this is kind of a mix between EQ and WoW. The combat is actually fun and the quests are not completely dull and boring like in EQ2. Classes seem more defined than EQ2 as well rather than a mishmash of abilities strewn about(at least that was the impression I got from EQ2's classes).

EQ2s class system were nothing but carbon copies of one another. Vanguard classes aren't nearly that limited. Dread Knights feel and play different than warriors from level 1.

My new comp gets here monday, so after I put it all together I'll really give VG its just tryout for a one month later review.

I was not commenting on game play, since I have not played it. I was only commenting on the pictures. If the UI wasn't on there and you asked me what game those shots came from, I could have easily mistaken it for EQ2.

I really like that UI crowde. I may have to look into that one.

As far as gameplay goes, I find that a lot of skills have these little extra things to them like, if target is doing this does this much extra damage. Or if an ally is in this position, does x amount of extra damage.

I think maximizing dps in this game and playing your class really well is going to be very challenging and engaging.

Picked up Vanguard last night. I was curious how it would look and play on my new rig. Snagged Core2UI from one of the VG ui sites. Looks pretty nice. I'm amazed at how much improvement there was from the last time I loaded up the beta a couple of months ago. Made a monk named Dragas on hillsbury. Some ass-goblin has taken Sagard there. So if you see a dread knight named Sagard, it ain't me.

I ended up re-rolling my rogue due to relatively small number of tanks in our guild and large number of rogues.

I found it fitting to name him Golliwog.
