If they actually did something about the stupid exp penalty when one of your groupmates leveled mid party, and you had an elite fighting force of bros numbering about 15ish people.

Would you go back?

Though I wasn't really a part of the Lanys tour on FFXI, it wouldn't take me much to go back. I really enjoyed FFXI... it could be the class system, the FF name... I don't know. I wish it would change a couple of things. It may be too late however with next gen games coming out.

Maybe...I think I still have my samurai with the full artifact armor except the helmet. I used to play on leviathan with kody/chod/carefree etc.

I never played FFXI =(

I played FFXI and I gotta say menu based games suck cock for the MMO genre, for me personally at least. Fuckin' Japs though, love dem menus.

It was a fun game to a point. The xp penalty definitely did suck.

Would I go back? Possibly. Really would depend on if there were others playing.

Have they made it easier to cancel your account? I just remember what a pain in the ass that was.

Also did they ever put in North American servers? I know that was a big complaint of yours Givin, just wondering if they ever did that.

There were many things I liked about the game, I don't think it's a bad game or anything, but doesn't hold a huge appeal for me...probably because I'm not a massive Final Fantasy fan. Though I did get FFIII for the DS. Wheee.

Aye. I got to the point where I couldn't even play the game due to the language barrier. Then you had the chocobo prices that would go through the roof so I'd have to run everywhere etc...then there was every dungeon that no one went past the zoneline to camp it..etc

Loved my little taru but there were so many barriers to actually playing it.

the language barrier wasn't so bad, all you had to do was get in a linkshell and you really had all your friends accessible. i don't have any bros in any mmorpgs i play but within a week of playing ffxi on my 360 i got into a good linkshell and was able to get rank 5 at level 24 as a galka monk.

my only real beef was all the females playing galkans or the males playing mithra.

silly rabbit, MMORPG's aren't for "females" !!
