From what I understand they have invited a lot more beta peeps for stress testing. So far, I have heard nothing but really positive things regarding the last couple days of stress testing.

They may have a real opportunity with this game. If nothing else Turbine had plenty of chances to learn a lot of good lessons they could apply to this game.

Take care,
Muli

This is how I can describe LOTR online. You know when you eat a fake pop tart and you're thinking that it's not sweet enough, or the filling isnt tasty enough?

That's what LOTR online is like.

LoTR Online seems nice enough.

Very pretty for the strength of computer you need.

Does kinda seem a bit.. I dunno. I really don't, it's lacking.

DDO is fun eh. If they made it playable offline with friends on a LAN without a monthly fee I would be very happy.

I just signed up for the beta for this. If nothing else, I wouldn't mind wandering around and seeing the sites and stuff. I dunno if I really have time to play a real game, so maybe this will work out good haha.

I believe the thing that impresses me the most regarding LOTRO is that every update, every downtime (well almost), etc. makes a positive impact. I have really enjoyed every change and release that has been made. Still waiting on Conan to try but, as far as I'm concerned these are the two games i'm really looking forward to.

Take care,

Tried it, and it seems like a fake pop tart, like Sola said. It's ok, but not great. And although the enviroments look ok, something is off with the character models.

I logged in and played a little more, and it actually wasn't too bad, there are some things I kind of like. And I'd be interested to see what the hi-res client does for the game as far as graphics.

That's kind of how I have felt. The more I play, the more I like it. The game definitely becomes more interesting as you progress. I actually like all the quests. It ties the community together and keeps a large amount of people moving together. However, I would like to see mobs get an exp boost and maybe remove a small percentage from questing.

That's just my 2cp.

Take care,
Muli

The game is too dark for me. As in, its dark. I don't think its my monitor, or my gamma, just that the damn UI is too dark.

Anybody else feel this? I'd post pics but, well you know.

Nah Givin it's really been just the opposite for me. Everything is extremely bright and vibriant. We were just talking about this the other day. However, I think the UI is a little dull as in, lack of creativity but, it serves it's purpose and it's extremely simple.

As in dark, do you mean overal? Is it the ability/skills buttons? Minimap? I'm not sure I'm following you exactly.

Seems good to me. Night time is pretty dark, which I liked, but can't say it is too dark.

Meh, it's alright. It's fun, but not worth $15/mo. But no mmo has really held my interest for long lately, anyway.

I don't think it's DDO2, at least not below level 12 (couldn't say beyond that). It's more like WoW, imo. (I actually really liked DDO more than any other mmo recently...I love how rogues were implemented and used in the game especially.)

I'll play it when I'm bored. And after I finish nwn2.

Bah, another LOTR game was cancelled, not this one...

Lord of the Rings: Shadows of Angmar = good

Lord of the Rings: The White Council = dead

LOTRO is pretty good. Don't count it too far out. If they would just ensure that the first expansion would implement Saron's forces with some nice PvP, I would really appreciate the game.

However, I don't think it will stand up to AoC or WoW:TBC. VG is really kind of different from LOTRO in my opinion. Kind of like comparing EQ2 to WoW.

Take care,
Muli

HI,
Anyone here buy MMO Games currencies before?
If YES, where you purchase from and why you want to buy it ?
If NO, why you don't want to buy it ?
I want to know about your opinions.
Me myself recently purchased from Offgamers.
They seem much more professional compared to the other stores I've been to.
I had 3000 gold delivered to me within 1 hour even though it was stated pre order.
And I buy it cause I felt boring & tired to gain the golds in the game.
How about you all ?

Those Chinese spammers are even in Everquest these days. You would think they would put just a little effort into making spam messages that make sense =x

I'm trying out the free trial version of LoTRO now and it seems pretty well done. Anyone happen to have one of those founder's referrals kicking around for getting the lower monthly rate? Would be much appreciated... my email is d-espo@comcast.net
