I was born and raised in Fremont, California when I was a Kid. Left in 1980 when I joined the Navy. Last time I was there was in 2000 for my 20 year reunion.

This was my house back in the 60's/70's.

Even though I do not live there anymore, it is just sort of weird knowing my original house is gone.

A few years ago I traveled back to Huntsville Alabama where I lived for seven years as a child. While I visited, I went and found my old homes where I had lived. One of them had been completely replaced, and I have to admit I found it a little sad. I understand how you feel!

Gone or remodeled?

Totally different house on the lot. Gone.

I just asked because looking at the two images, it could be the same house with an addition on the front. Tough to tell though without having the same view of both houses.

Feel for ya Worthy. A few years back I went to my old neighborhood that I lived in as a kid(was in the area to visit relatives, drove past) and was a bit saddened to one of my homes replaced(entirely new house as well, not remodeled). Had a lot of good memories there, but at least we have pictures and retain the good memories =)

You really can't go home again.

...but you can shop there.

And perhaps purchase a scale model of your old home!
