The trip has been going very well. I had to skip Death Valley due to temps hovering near 120. I am currently in Vegas before heading on. I have never been this busy for such an extended period of time, it has been very testing at times. It has all been very rewarding though. I ran out of stamps a while back but have more so cards will start going out again.

Uhh photos..

Bears are really cool. Wolves are scary. Rattlesnakes are everywhere in the desert.

Zion
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2 ... 3e7057846a

The narrows in Zion was hands down the best hike of this trip so far. There was not a boring moment during the entire hike. It made me feel like I was in dinotopia (anyone read those children's books?). The small camera I had is now destroyed because it fell out of its container during one of the swimming sections of the hike - meaning some images were lost, especially those of the best narrows section towards the end of the hike.

If anyone wants to see higher quality versions of any of these let me know. The majority are shot with a Nikon D90 (DSLR) and don't really come out well via the facebook image size.

Angel's Landing tomorrow. I get vertigo sometimes so this hike may be rough. Preview picture here

Hopefully you're not going further into debt for this.

One of my exes had a cousin who had just finished his Ph.D in Osteopathy or some shit. Him and his girlfriend, they sold their house and announced they were going on a trip around the world for a whole year (during which they promptly got married in Bengal).

Trip ended up costing them about 60 grand, I think more equity than they had in their duplex when they sold it. They got back and two years later they're in bankruptcy court. A fucking doctor in bankruptcy court. That trip was a nail in the coffin on top of his student loans and such.

Escape is great if you can pay for it. If you can't, it just results in bigger problems down the road.

I have no debt. I could do this trip many times and still not be in debt. The experiences I have had and the wonderful people I have met have been priceless.

I have progressed significantly since my last post. Colorado was really fucking cold and it was snowing hard. I camped for a single night and got really sick. Ended up just partying in Boulder then driving to Lawrence and partying there for a week. Great times were had, yet I am still a bit sick.

I'm currently in Jacksonville staying with an ex just enjoying the sun. I'll be heading south starting on tues maybe. Anyone have any experience ocean kayaking in southern fla?
