No offense if there are any family of his posting here.. but good riddance.. one less asshole yelling at me on TV.

I tell ya, lots of celeb deaths recently and I've been almost happy about some of them.

auto erotic...aw hell...

Anyway that is a shame, out of all the people shilling items on the television he was the least annoying. And the products he shilled for were actually decent. I also caught one episode of Pitchmen, and he seemed like a really nice guy.

Now if it had been the Sham Wow guy no one would have been surprised.

Man that sucks... I say that as someone who has maybe once or twice ever bought a product advertised on TV. I applaud the amount of effort he put into it, his enthusiam was hilarious. What I find unfortunate is that he was more or less just becoming mainstream. I'm not entirely sure what mainstream IS for that career... but he did manage to make a household name for himself.

One of the few types of commercials that didn't bug me TBH.

Dammit, just posted and the preview popped up and Tarot beat me to it. He was definitely the least annoying to me as well.

Now, what will happen to all of the commercials he has made?
Will they still air them?
I am remembering all of the DAVE commercials from Wendys that they took off the air.

I think that was because Wendy's tried to go 'another direction' (down the crapper)

I enjoy the show Pitchmen...

Oh I've figured it out. He was really Michael Jackson in disguise.

Next up, LaToya!

Sorry for the double post, was early and didn't see the other.

But seriously, WTF IS GOING ON?

Amy Winehouse, Heidi/Spencer Pratt, Linsey Lohan, and Madonna are all still walking around...if God is just deciding to take our celebrities en mass then why aren't these people dead yet?

Billy Mays convinced me to buy the Big City Slider Station (that thing that cooks mini burgers)...thing is fucking awesome.

This was posted on digg earlier, and someone had commented on how now it seems celebrity deaths are coming in sets of 4. The reply to that?

"That's because when you buy 3, Billy May will throw one in free!"

Man, that's just so horrible it's hilarious.

There are different domains of a human life in which we can judge people.

In the domain of his personal and family life, I'm sure he was a great guy, and he'll be missed. This is the only part that really matters, or should matter, to his family.

But in the domain of TV, and his career, his commercials were annoying as fuck, and I'm glad he's not around to make any more of them.

I agree, I'm sure he was a hell of a guy in his personal life.

But his commercials WERE annoying as hell. His tone-deaf, loud barking at me about products is something I won't miss.

They're saying heart disease now, I really thought it was going to be a bleed after the head injury stuff came up. So sad, but probably a good reminder to people to stay on top of that shit even when you look/feel healthy.

Who was that one cranky bastard who used to make complain posts every time the death threads started popping up?

I have to admit, on this one I'm leaning toward the cranky bastard's position... not sure I can mourn a professional commerical celeb.

He will be more missed that jackson.

Even if he was one loud infomercial to get bombarded with.

They're running a marathon of Pitchmen right now.

I feel like a moron but I really do feel badly over his death. He was very likable. I didn't know he got his start on the boardwalk down the shore, but after hearing that ...I like him more.

I just watched some of the show...they showed one where his endorsement of the product (and it was an okay product) got this guy who had been badly injured in a plane crash over $10 mil. The guy was going on and on and on about how he'd never have to be dependent upon others.

Maybe I'm a sucker, but I got choked up.

I really liked the show. I think what says most about him was how quiet and easy-going his son was. I have a lot of respect for a parent who could bring up such a good kid.

he was a long time pitchman, starting out in a flea market and becoming the huge success we all know him as today. I respect that more than anything and for that I'm sad that his time to kick back and enjoy life was cut short.

Agreed. It may not be the most glamorous profession in the world, but it's hard not to admire a guy who went from that to one of the few nationwide(worldwide?)-known TV advertisers in the world. No doubt a lot of serious effort and work on his part.

Well, I know you guys think he was super likable.. whatever. I heard him yelling on TV again the other day and was actually glad he was dead. I would have been just as happy if he had is vocal chords removed, or failed professionally, so it's not like I wished death to him, just happy that there is one less asshole screaming on TV and radio commercials.

I know that is very taboo to say in our society, but him and MJ both... good riddance to those two.
